Creative AI Pipeline Engineer
At Monks, we're looking for a Senior Creative Technologist to help shape the future of AI-powered production. You'll work on large-scale, global projects at the intersection of creativity, technology, and automation, designing production systems that enable teams to deliver high-quality creative work at scale. This is a highly strategic and hands-on role where you'll partner with creatives, producers, engineers, and clients to transform the way content is produced through Generative AI.
What You'll Do
Own the end-to-end architecture of AI generation pipelines, from creative brief through scaled production delivery, including quality control gates and human review checkpoints.
Define technical quality standards alongside Creative Directors and provide final technical sign-off on AI-generated deliverables.
Lead the technical approach during client pitches and RFPs, demonstrating what is feasible within realistic timelines, budgets, and production constraints.
Design scalable AI workflows that integrate seamlessly into Monks' global production ecosystem (Monks.Flow).
Advise clients and internal stakeholders on model selection, intellectual property considerations, and AI-related production risks.
Drive applied research and development initiatives, creating proof-of-concepts that unlock new production capabilities and service offerings.
Mentor Junior and Mid-level Creative Technologists, helping elevate technical capabilities across the AI Production team.
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including Creative, Production, Engineering, and Strategy to deliver innovative AI-powered solutions.
What We're Looking For
5+ years of experience in production, creative technology, or technical production environments.
At least 2 years of hands-on experience delivering Generative AI solutions in production environments.
Understanding of ComfyUI or Node-based systems, including workflow optimization, custom node development, and code-level customization.
Strong knowledge of open-source AI models, with a focus on Google Models (Gemini, Veo, Nano Banana)
Python programming or vibe coding skills with experience integrating APIs, cloud infrastructure, vector databases, and scalable AI systems.
Proven experience delivering client-facing projects for enterprise or global brands.
Strong understanding of production workflows, compute costs, project scoping, and ROI considerations.
Experience designing scalable production pipelines rather than only creating AI-generated assets.
