Content & Organic Growth Manager (SEO-GEO)
The role
Harbinger is telling the story of American-made commercial EVs to fleet operators, dealers, and government buyers — and we need someone to make Harbinger easier to understand, trust, and discover, whether a buyer starts with Google, an AI assistant, an industry publication, or a peer recommendation. As Content & Organic Growth Manager, you'll own the editorial strategy and also do the work.
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, you'll define the content strategy and roadmap, interview subject-matter experts, write and edit high-quality copy, own traditional SEO, pioneer our approach to answer-engine and generative-engine optimization (AEO/GEO), and measure the contribution to qualified demand and pipeline. You'll use AI to move fast without ever compromising our quality bar. This is a hands-on builder role for someone who is equal parts writer, strategist, and SEO/GEO operator.
What you'll own
Content strategy & roadmap: Build an editorial roadmap based on customer questions, product priorities, search demand, category narratives, sales insight, and business goals.
Writing & editing: Create clear, differentiated content across web pages, articles, case studies, guides, email, executive thought leadership, sales materials, social copy, ads, and video scripts.
Subject-matter development: Interview customers, executives, engineers, product, and sales; turn technical knowledge into credible, useful stories.
SEO strategy & execution: Own keyword and topic research, search intent, content briefs, on-page optimization, internal linking, content refreshes, and metadata for medium-duty EV, fleet electrification, TCO, and incentive terms.
Technical SEO partnership: Work with Web, Engineering, and agencies on crawlability, indexation, page performance, schema and structured data, redirects, canonicalization, and sitemaps.
AEO / GEO: Develop a practical approach to visibility in AI-powered search and answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews) — citation-worthy content, entity clarity, structured facts, expert sourcing, third-party authority, and ongoing query monitoring.
Content operations & governance: Own the calendar, briefs, workflow, approvals, CMS publishing, quality standards, content inventory, and selective use of contractors or agencies.
Creative & community: Partner with our in-house photographer, videographer, and motion-graphics team to turn stories into visual content, and own day-to-day social and community management.
AI-assisted workflows: Use AI for research, drafting, and repurposing at scale while maintaining original thinking, factual accuracy, brand voice, and human editorial judgment.
Distribution & repurposing: Partner with Growth, Product Marketing, Comms, Lifecycle, Sales, and Partnerships to extend each asset across channels and audiences.
Story & messaging: Ladder all content to Harbinger's positioning — 'Familiar Form. Revolutionary Foundation.' — and reinforce our perceptions in the market.
Measurement: Report on qualified organic traffic, non-brand visibility, AI citations/share of voice, conversions, and content-assisted pipeline; use findings to improve the roadmap.
