Pay Rate: $105,000 annually
Location: Residents (Albany, NY)- Hybrid schedule: 2 days a week in the office. Non-Residents – 2 days per quarter in office.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
Perform engineering, software development, and configuration management tasks in support of:
Software build & test automation
Release management including status accounting of changes made to CM-controlled environments and process automation
Engineering tool customization and administration
Develop requirements, design, code, test, and deploy Engineering Tool tools and utilities
Lead cross-functional teams to implement development and test process improvements
Create and maintain Engineering Tool process documentation
Provide production support to deploy Engineering Tools, including mentoring users in tool utilization
Provide support to strategic technology initiatives to advance the NYSOH Health Marketplace System to new infrastructure components and software development life cycle improvements
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or
related discipline, or equivalent
Required Experience:
A minimum of seven (7) years of business experience, including evaluating business procedures and problems, conducting feasibility studies, configuring systems, designing configurations, preparing detailed specifications for developing business solutions, developing effort and schedule estimates, and performing application design and development tasks.
A demonstrated ability to analyze, identify, implement, and monitor outcomes
An ability to successfully work with cross-functional technical teams in defining, developing, testing, and deploying software applications
Experience in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements, analysis, design, construction, testing, implementation, and maintenance
A demonstrated ability to identify weaknesses in business workflows and develop and implement process improvements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong professional skills interacting with various teams and support personnel
Dedicated and self-motivated achiever committed to success who is adept at handling multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment to meet stringent demands
Required Technical Skills:
Software: Java, JavaScript, Unix shell scripting, Perl, Groovy, HTML, XML, SQL
Operating Systems: Unix (Solaris, Linux, HP-UX), Microsoft Windows
Database: Oracle, MS Access
Tools: Jenkins/Hudson, Git, Maven, JBoss Application Server, JUnit, Liberty, WebSphere, Tomcat, Ansible, Red Hat Container and Open Shift Framework (OSF) technology
Preferred Experience/Technical Skills
Experience in Configuration Management or Release Management
IBM Rational Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool experience, particularly RTC, RQM, JRS, DNG, UrbanCode Deploy, Liquibase
