About the role

Turing runs one of the world’s largest networks of vetted technical talent, onboarding contributors across more than 100 countries to work on frontier AI and enterprise engagements. Trust in that network starts with knowing, with confidence, that every person we engage is who they say they are, is eligible to work with us, and is not a sanctions or fraud risk. That is what this role protects.

As a Compliance Analyst, you own the quality and integrity of our Know Your Customer (KYC) and identity verification program. You will review and adjudicate verification cases, audit decisions made across our verification operation, detect emerging identity and document-fraud patterns, and turn what you find into sharper policy, cleaner process, and better-trained reviewers. You will make independent calls on ambiguous cases where the answer is not in the playbook, and you will raise the bar for everyone screening alongside you.

This is a hands-on, high-volume operations role for someone with deep KYC/AML judgment who is as comfortable making the hard decision on a single case as they are spotting the systemic pattern across thousands. You will work remotely, across time zones, with talent and stakeholders around the world.

What you’ll own

Case adjudication and identity verification

Review and decision KYC and identity verification cases across multiple regions, including document verification, liveness, and data cross-checks.

Make independent, well-reasoned decisions on ambiguous and high-risk cases where policy guidance is incomplete, escalating the right ones with a clear recommendation.

Detect and act on identity-fraud and document-fraud techniques — forgeries, manipulations, synthetic and stolen identities, and impersonation — adapting to how these differ across regions.

Sanctions, PEP, and AML screening

Conduct and resolve sanctions screening, politically exposed person (PEP) checks, and adverse-media review, clearing false positives and escalating true matches within our AML framework.

Apply AML and risk frameworks consistently, and document the rationale behind each disposition so decisions stand up to audit.

Quality assurance and calibration

Audit completed verification cases: sample decisions for accuracy, identify errors and policy deviations, and categorize root causes.

Run and contribute to calibration sessions, track accuracy scores and error trends, and give clear, constructive feedback to reviewers.

Turn QA findings into concrete improvements — policy updates, process fixes, and targeted training — and measure whether they worked.

Program and process improvement

Surface emerging fraud trends and control gaps to policy and operations leadership, with recommendations.

Help refine verification playbooks, decision trees, and documentation standards as regions, regulations, and fraud tactics evolve.

Write clear case documentation and reviewer guidance that others can act on without a translator.

What you bring

Required

7+ years of experience in KYC, AML, identity verification, trust and safety, or fraud operations, ideally at a fintech, marketplace, gig/talent platform, or global staffing company.

Strong hands-on knowledge of document verification and identity-fraud techniques across multiple regions.

Working knowledge of sanctions screening, PEP checks, and AML frameworks.

Experience in KYC quality assurance — auditing completed verification cases, sampling decisions for accuracy, identifying errors or policy deviations, and giving constructive feedback to reviewers.

Familiarity with QA frameworks and metrics such as accuracy scores, error categorization, calibration sessions, and root cause analysis, and the ability to turn QA findings into process or training improvements.

Experience with KYC/IDV platforms such as Onfido, Jumio, Persona, Sumsub, Veriff, or similar, and with screening tools such as World-Check, ComplyAdvantage, or LexisNexis.

Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to make independent decisions on ambiguous cases.

Strong written communication skills for case documentation and for talking with talent across cultures.

Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume, remote environment.

Preferred

Relevant certification such as CAMS, CFE, or an equivalent AML/fraud credential.

Experience building or scaling a KYC/QA function, not just operating within one.

Exposure to global identity and data-privacy regimes (GDPR and similar) and to right-to-work or contractor-eligibility verification.

Comfort working with data — pulling your own samples, reading dashboards, and quantifying fraud and quality trends.

How we work

Remote-first and global. We operate across time zones and verify talent in more than 100 countries.

Judgment over scripts. The hard, ambiguous cases are the job; we trust you to make the call and show your reasoning.

Quality as a system. We measure accuracy, calibrate regularly, and fix root causes rather than symptoms.

Low ego, high ownership. The outcome — a trustworthy network — matters more than who caught what.

Values

We are client first: We put our clients at the center of everything we do, because their success is the ultimate measure of our value.
