Position Overview

BGBx is seeking a Client Relationship Executive (CRE) to own a portfolio of named, high-potential pharmaceutical and life sciences accounts and drive integrated growth across BGBx Consulting and BGBx Communications. This is a senior, quota-carrying health and enterprise growth role for someone who can operate as a trusted advisor to commercialization leadership, move comfortably across the full commercial lifecycle, and translate senior client relationships into staffed, delivered engagements across BGBx capability areas.

The role is designed to bridge the different buyers, relationships and capabilities that exist across BGBx. It should lean Consulting in orientation and instinct while carrying the credibility to bring Communications capabilities through behind it. The CRE originates and orchestrates opportunities in partnership with practice and delivery leaders; the role is connective tissue, not a substitute for practice expertise or delivery leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Own a portfolio of 3-4 named strategic accounts, with an account plan that maps BGBx’s full capability set across both divisions against the client’s active and anticipated commercialization needs.

Identify, qualify, and pursue new-logo opportunities that align with BGBx’s capabilities and growth priorities. Build and maintain C-suite/SVP-level relationships within each account’s commercialization organization, earning access and creating dialogue before a formal RFP or opportunity exists.

Be conversant across the full commercialization journey, including New Product Planning, Go-to-Market Strategy, Evidence Strategy, Market Access Strategy, Brand Strategy, Medical Communications strategy, and Advertising/Promotion, in order to diagnose client needs and know which BGBx leaders to bring in.

Identify and pursue cross-divisional and cross-practice white space that might otherwise not surface because buyer relationships sit in different parts of the client organization.

Lead big-idea generation, breakthrough sessions, top-to-top meetings, and other initiatives that drive strategic growth

Develop and execute strategic and tactical plans, translating strategy into clear plans, agendas, briefs, and actionable next steps that deepen penetration across client business units and functions and create incremental revenue opportunities.

Partner with Consulting and Communications practice leaders and delivery teams to qualify and shape opportunities, and to develop proposals, pricing and staffing for opportunities that originated through the account.

Play a leadership role in client pursuits and coordinate cross-functional BGBx teams through the cross-solving process, while keeping practice leaders accountable for subject matter expertise and delivery.

Act as an internal advocate for the client inside BGBx, surfacing account intelligence, organizational dynamics, competitive context, decision-makers and budget cycles to leadership.

Report a rolling pipeline and account-level revenue forecast to the Chief of Commercial Strategy and Innovation and participate in quarterly business reviews.

Champion and embed BGBx’s “Built for Breakthrough” value proposition across named client accounts by leveraging the breakthrough suite, intellectual property, and integrated capabilities to strengthen client relationships, increase market differentiation and brand equity, and improve client awareness, advocacy, and NPS scores.

Candidate Profile

12-15+ years in pharmaceutical/life sciences, commercial consulting leadership, with a demonstrated ability to sell senior strategic engagements.

Fluency across the commercialization value chain, ideally with direct experience in at least two of: New Product Planning, Go-to-Market Strategy, Market Access, Brand Strategy, and Medical Communications.

A track record of opening and expanding accounts at the SVP/C-suite level inside pharmaceutical commercial organizations, not simply managing relationships handed to them.

Significant named account relationship and business development experience, with a proven ability to increase account penetration and generate revenue opportunities across new and existing client relationships.

Strong professional services sales experience and an understanding of how client work is scoped, sold and delivered; prior delivery experience is preferred.

Success operating within an account-team model and influencing cross-functional teams in client pursuits without relying on direct authority.

An established network of relevant client and industry relationships that can help create access and opportunity.

Comfortable being measured on revenue origination and cross-sell rather than billable delivery.

Consulting-leaning instinct, exceptional executive presence and strong communication skills; this person should be as credible discussing portfolio strategy as they are discussing a launch campaign, even if their execution depth sits in one area.

Technology and AI fluency, with the ability to understand and apply emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, and modern problem-solving methodologies to identify opportunities, improve solutions, and drive innovation for clients.

Success Measures

Incremental cross-divisional revenue in named accounts.

Net contract value increase (retention and growth)

Growth in active multi-capability engagements across the portfolio.

Qualified pipeline generated and progression of strategic opportunities.

Depth and breadth of senior relationships and account penetration across named clients.

Travel

Ability to travel as needed based on client and business requirements.

Salary: $250,000 - $325,000 plus incentive plan
