Career Services & Employer Partnerships Specialist
Employment Type: Part-Time (On-Call / Per Diem, up to 10 hours/week)
Reports To: Coaching Program Manager
Pay Rate: $30.00 / hour

Position Summary
A core priority of this role goes beyond standard job readiness - it is about actively generating real employment opportunities, contacts, and interviews for graduates of a health & sciences university.
As the Career Services & Employer Partnerships Specialist, you will serve as the critical bridge between ambitious, qualified health & sciences graduates and hiring organizations seeking talent. Rather than taking a passive advisory approach, you will operate as an active talent matchmaker: hunting for open roles, pitching qualified candidates directly to hiring managers, and building sustainable employer partnerships.
In addition to driving employer outreach, you will execute multi-channel communication campaigns to engage recent graduates, deliver high-impact 1:1 virtual career coaching, and maintain active pipelines to accelerate graduate placement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Employer Outreach & Placement (Lead Generation & Matchmaking)
Opportunity Sourcing: Proactively identify and connect with hiring managers, recruiters, and companies to discover open positions, internships, and talent needs aligned with our alumni pool.
Talent Pitching: Act as a recruiter and advocate by directly matching and pitching qualified alumni candidates to hiring managers to secure interviews.
Industry Insights: Stay current on health and sciences hiring trends to provide actionable market intelligence to job seekers.
2. Alumni Engagement & Multi-Channel Outreach
Proactive Campaign Execution: Conduct high-energy, multi-channel outreach campaigns via email, phone, and text message to drive graduate participation in Career Services.
Pipeline Management: Track and maintain an active pipeline of job-seeking alumni, re-engaging them consistently to understand their evolving career goals and employment status.
Metric Tracking: Document all touchpoints, outreach metrics, and placement milestones in the CRM.
3. 1:1 Virtual Career Coaching
Targeted Coaching: Deliver impactful 30-minute 1:1 virtual coaching sessions for alumni of a specialized health & sciences university.
Core Topics: Guide alumni across key professional development topics, including LinkedIn optimization, resume writing, targeted networking, interview strategy, personal branding/digital visibility, navigating imposter syndrome, and entrepreneurship.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Experience: 2+ years of direct experience in university employer relations, higher education career services, workforce development, or technical/healthcare recruitment.
Coaching Credentials: Active pursuit or completion of a recognized career coaching certification (e.g., ICF, PARWCC, Lumia, The Academies, Coach U, or equivalent).
Tech Stack: Hands-on proficiency with Handshake, HubSpot (or comparable CRM systems), and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Meet).
Communication & Sales Mindset: Exceptional written, verbal, and phone/text communication skills with a comfortable, high-energy approach to cold outreach and candidate representation.
What Success Looks Like in This Role
High Engagement Rates: Successfully converting cold alumni outreach into active, ongoing 1:1 coaching relationships.
High Value Employer Engagement: Building relationships with high-value employers, primarily large healthcare systems and national corporations.
Coaching Excellence: Consistently delivering actionable, high-value career strategy plans that move alumni forward in their job search.
Data Integrity: Maintaining real-time accuracy in HubSpot, ensuring seamless record-keeping for engagement histories and placement pipelines.
