Position Summary

The Campaign Lead is a senior role within the Market Development Capability Area, responsible for owning and driving complex customer opportunities from early shaping through to contract award. You will develop and lead the campaign strategy, bringing together expertise from across Metrea to understand customer requirements, develop differentiated solutions and position the business to win.

The primary focus will be on campaigns in manned airborne ISR, Air Transport and Aerial Fire Fighting, with the potential to integrate Metrea’s Electromagnetic & Cyber and Digital & Synthetic capabilities into solutions. You will have a deep understanding of Air domain effects, sensors and capabilities, the missions they are employed within and the markets and customers that require them. Based from our London office with hybrid working, you will be responsible for developing and delivering winning campaigns from early shaping and campaign planning through bid submission, contract award and transition to delivery, supporting national security customers including the UK Ministry of Defence, NATO and allied partners.

You will work closely with Market Development leads and teams across Metrea, bringing together the operational, technical, commercial and delivery expertise required to develop and execute successful campaign strategies across the EMEA region. Working closely with the Bids & Proposals team, you will provide strategic and content leadership for complex bids and proposals. You will develop the win strategy, value proposition and key messages, translate technical and operational inputs into compelling customer-focused content and ensure the campaign strategy is consistently reflected through the proposal.  You will be trained in the Metrea Solution Framework and, after contract award, will work with Programme Leads to ensure the customer need is delivered and to identify opportunities to grow our services.

What You'll Do

Lead campaign activity from early customer engagement and opportunity shaping through solution development, bid generation and contract award

Lead customer, market and competitive analysis, including stakeholder mapping, customer needs, procurement intelligence and competitor positioning, to inform the campaign strategy

Develop and execute customer and stakeholder engagement plans to shape opportunities, influence requirements and position Metrea effectively, building strong relationships across Defence and the EMEA region

Work with Solution Architects and SMEs to translate customer requirements and solution design outputs into a differentiated, deliverable proposition

Develop the teaming approach and identify and coordinate strategic partnerships required to strengthen the campaign and solution

Develop the win strategy, value proposition, win themes and key messages that differentiate Metrea and provide a clear basis for the proposal

Own the proposal strategy and develop compelling, customer-focused content, including executive level messaging, by translating technical, operational and commercial inputs into a clear and coherent narrative

Provide clear content direction to SMEs, Finance, Legal, Operations and other contributors, ensuring the win strategy and key messages are consistently reflected throughout the proposal

Lead price-to-win development, working with Finance and other relevant stakeholders to align the commercial approach with the campaign strategy and competitive environment

Present and defend campaign strategies and recommendations through internal reviews and approval processes, responding effectively to challenges from senior stakeholders

What You Bring

Significant experience leading complex campaigns or customer opportunities within the Aerospace and Defence sector, with demonstratable ownership from early opportunity shaping through bid and contract award

Strong understanding of Air domain missions, with particular emphasis is on manned airborne ISR. Experience across additional Air domain mission sets, such as Aerial Fire Fighting, Air to Air Refueling, or Strategic Transport and Mobility, is desirable

Demonstratable experienced leading the strategy and content development for complex Aerospace and Defence bids and proposals, including coordinating multidisciplinary inputs

Strong understanding of the Aerospace and Defence market in the EMEA region, with experience of customer engagement, opportunity shaping and working with senior customers and industry stakeholders

Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex customer, market and competitive information and translate it into clear and actionable campaign strategy

Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical, operational and commercial information into clear, persuasive and customer-focused proposal content

Experience developing executive-level messaging, value propositions and win themes for complex customer proposals

Strong communication and influencing skills, with the confidence and credibility to present, challenge and defend recommendations with senior internal and external stakeholders

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Employees in this role may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.

Work Environment

Office environment, 3 days a week at our Hammersmith office.

Travel

Regular travel is required to support campaigns, customer engagement and industry events across the EMEA region, with occasional travel elsewhere for workshops and other Enterprise activities.
