Buyer (LV Sub Coordinator)

We’re adding to our team! We’re looking for a Buyer (LV Sub Coordinator) to join our Mission Critical Team and help keep precontract low-voltage subcontractor engagement organized, timely, and aligned. In this coordination-focused role, you’ll help prepare and manage bid packages, communicate with bidders, track quote commitments, and gather proposal inputs so internal teams have the information they need. Technical scope definition and evaluation will continue to be handled by Application Engineering, Engineering, and project stakeholders, while subcontractor selection and commercial commitments will remain under Procurement oversight and required approvals.

You will:

Coordinate low-voltage subcontractor outreach and RFQs using approved bid packages and scopes of work.

Keep requests on track by confirming documents, owners, quote dates, and open clarifications.

Share approved drawings, specifications, schedules, addenda, and revisions with invited bidders.

Confirm intent to bid, track quote commitments, and keep status updates current.

Route bidder questions to the right internal owners, communicate approved responses, and track closure.

Follow up on late or missing responses and escalate schedule risks with suggested recovery steps.

Organize quotes, exclusions, clarifications, lead times, and exceptions for team review.

Support bid comparisons, qualification documents, negotiation prep, and award-package coordination.

Maintain bid records and support a smooth handoff to Procurement and project teams.

Provide occasional Buyer backup with purchase orders, system updates, status tracking, and document follow-up.

You have:

Associate degree or equivalent experience in business administration, procurement, construction coordination, or a related field.

5 years of experience supporting procurement, subcontractors, projects, or another deadline-driven coordination environment.

Strong organization, attention to detail, and comfort managing multiple requests, revisions, and deadlines.

Clear communication, professional follow-through, and comfort working with internal teams and subcontractors.

The ability to spot missing details, route questions, and escalate issues appropriately.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Comfort using, or quickly learning, purchasing and document-management systems; purchase order experience is a plus.

Familiarity with construction, electrical, or low-voltage terminology is a plus.
