Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for uncovering opportunities and driving growth in the warehousing and logistics space? Join our WMS Sales team as a Business Development Representative and play a vital role in helping brands solve their warehouse operations challenges with ShipBob's proprietary Warehouse Management System.

In this high-impact role, you'll be the first point of contact for prospects currently running their own warehouse operations — whether in-house or through a 3PL partner. Your mission: craft thoughtful, targeted outreach to decision-makers in warehouse ops, supply chain, and logistics, setting high-quality meetings that turn into closed deals for our WMS Account Executives.

This role reports to the Senior Manager, Business Development.

ShipBob is proud to be named on the Chicago Tribune's list of Top Workplaces: https://www.chicagotribune.com/2024/11/15/top-workplaces-2024-chicago-winners/.

What you’ll do:

Drive Growth: Identify, research, and qualify brands that are managing their own fulfillment operations — adding 10+ high-potential WMS prospects to your pipeline daily.

Proactive Outreach: Execute a high-volume, multi-channel outreach strategy (cold calls, emails, and social selling) including 40+ dials, 5+ quality connections, and 25+ minutes of call time per day — targeting warehouse ops leaders, supply chain directors, and 3PL operators.

Strategic Prospecting: Leverage platforms like LinkedIn, CRM tools, and industry databases to identify brands that are strong fits for ShipBob WMS — with a specific focus on beauty, health & wellness, food & beverage, and home goods verticals.

Engage Decision-Makers: Connect with key stakeholders to understand their current warehouse operations, identify pain points, and determine alignment with ShipBob's WMS solution.

Advocate & Advise: Use a consultative approach to uncover non-traditional opportunities and make thoughtful recommendations — this role requires real problem solving, not just pitch delivery.

Collaborate for Success: Schedule qualified demos for WMS Account Executives and help drive deals forward through strategic collaboration.

Own the Metrics: Meet and exceed daily activity benchmarks and contribute consistently to monthly and annual WMS revenue goals.

Stay Ahead: Keep a pulse on the WMS competitive landscap, industry trends, and evolving enterprise needs to sharpen your outreach strategy and messaging.

Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary.

What you’ll bring to the table:

Minimum 1 year of demonstrated success in a sales environment required.

Background in WMS, OMS, 3PL, supply chain, or logistics SaaS is a strong plus — you already know the buyer and the pain points.

Experience selling over the phone and smart calling warehouse operations, supply chain, and logistics decision-makers.

A consultative mindset — you ask great questions and listen before you pitch.

A high degree of diligence, accountability, and self-direction.

Comfortable in a competitive environment, with evidence of personal ambition.

Relentless persistence in the face of daily rejection and delays.

An aptitude for research and understanding data.

Grit. This role requires someone who thrives in ambiguity and finds a way forward when the path isn't clear.
