We started a movement in which everyone can win – shoppers, retailers, society and every person on our team. To play fair, trust people and reward them for doing the right thing. We see and feel the impact of our work as more and more people gain financial freedom and retailers grow across the globe.

Founded in 2014 in Sydney, Australia, Afterpay has over 24 million active customers globally and more than 250,000 of the best retailers around the world including Anthropologie, Revolve, DSW, GOAT, Finish Line, Levi’s, Mac Cosmetics, Ray-Ban and many others.

Afterpay is helping people spend responsibly! We empower customers to access the things they want and need, while still allowing them to maintain financial wellness and control, by splitting payments in four, for both online and in-store purchases. Afterpay is deeply committed to delivering positive outcomes for customers. Now under the Block ecosystem, we are focused on supporting our community of shoppers.

We trust in the next generation and share a vision of a more accessible and sustainable world in which people are rewarded for doing the right thing. Join a movement in which everyone can win.

The Role

As BDR Manager, you'll lead a team of five outbound BDRs focused on generating pipeline across SMB and Mid-Market merchants. You'll report directly to the UK CEO and play a key role in shaping how we prospect, hire, coach and grow the team.

This isn't a role where you're expected to maintain an existing playbook. We're looking for someone who enjoys building things; someone who sees opportunities to improve how a team operates and has the initiative to make them happen.

You'll have ownership over hiring, onboarding, coaching, outbound strategy and day-to-day team performance, while working closely with Sales Leadership, Marketing, CRM, Sales Strategy and other global teams.

You Will

Lead, coach and develop a team of outbound BDRs.

Build a high-performance culture in a hybrid working environment.

Partner with AEs to maximise pipeline generation across SMB and Mid-Market.

Hire and onboard new BDRs as the team grows.

Continuously improve outbound strategy, messaging and account targeting.

Partner with Marketing, CRM and Sales Strategy to improve how the team operates.

Experiment with new tools, AI capabilities and ways of working.

Use data to identify opportunities and improve team performance.

You Have

Experience managing an outbound sales or business development team.

A track record of hiring, coaching and developing high-performing sales talent.

Confidence in managing performance.

Experience improving outbound strategy rather than simply executing an existing playbook.

Strong cross-functional stakeholder management skills.

A data-driven approach to coaching and decision-making.

Curiosity around AI and modern sales technology.
