AVP, Product Marketing
112% above the median for Mid-Level Marketing roles
As an AVP, Product Marketing, you will be tasked with leading and developing a team of Product Marketing Managers, while owning the development and refinement of core product messaging.
This is a player-coach role: every leader at SentinelOne carries both a team and a direct execution mandate.
As coach, you will set the framework and strategic agenda for how SentinelOne's platform and products are messaged, set the standard for all core messaging content, and manage a team of Product Marketing Managers, each a subject matter expert who owns a technology domain.
As a player, you will personally engage at the executive level with Product, Sales, and Marketing leadership to keep messaging and positioning tightly aligned with go-to-market execution and the product roadmap, and own the content pipeline and funnel that feeds campaigns as a direct input to demand generation.
What Will You Do?
Team & Strategic Leadership
Lead and develop a high-performing team of product marketing managers, each responsible for a product domain, ensuring consistent quality and cadence across all areas of coverage
Set the strategic operating model for Core PMM: how messaging gets built, validated, and shipped, and how the team prioritizes across a growing product portfolio
Represent Core PMM in cross-functional planning with Product Management, Sales, Campaigns, and Solutions & GTM; you are the executive point of contact for "what does the product actually do and why does it matter"
Product Messaging & Positioning
Own the development and continuous refinement of core product messaging, value propositions, and differentiation across the platform
Ensure messaging is grounded in product truth, technically accurate, competitively sharp, and validated with Product and Sales before it ships
Translate the product and engineering roadmap into a forward-looking narrative that anticipates market shifts rather than reacts to them
Use Cases, Demos & Buyer Specifics
Direct the team's development of buyer-specific use cases and demo narratives that map product capability to real customer problems, by persona and by vertical where relevant
Set the standard for demo quality and consistency across the team's domains, ensuring demos reflect current product state and current competitive reality
Sales Enablement & Content Pipeline
Own the enablement content pipeline that arms our sales and field teams
Separately, own the funnel of PMM-sourced content into marketing campaigns, ensuring the content pipeline feeding demand gen is timely, technically sound, and aligned with messaging
Build and maintain tight feedback loops with Product, Sales, and Field teams to measure effectiveness and impact, and make adjustments to ensure continual improvement
Cross-Functional Influence
Collaborate with Product to influence product strategy and roadmap prioritization
Partner with Market Intelligence to incorporate competitive and win/loss signals directly into messaging and enablement
Partner with Tech Marketing and Solutions to ensure product truth flows cleanly into top-of-funnel content and into downstream go-to-market execution
Act as an escalation point when messaging, positioning, or enablement gaps surface in the field
What Skills and Knowledge Will You Bring?
12+ years in product marketing, with at least 3-5 years in a people leadership role managing PMM managers or senior ICs
Deep fluency in the cybersecurity market and platform categories, with the credibility to go deep with both practitioners and executives
Track record of owning product messaging at scale, from individual product narratives to platform-level positioning that ties them together into a common customer outcome
Demonstrated ability to set team strategy and direction, and to personally jump into a messaging doc or demo script when the moment calls for it
Strong track record partnering with Product, Sales, and Marketing leadership to influence and align on joint outcomes
Experience managing a content pipeline that feeds directly into demand gen/campaigns, with an understanding of funnel mechanics
Executive presence, comfortable representing Product Marketing in leadership forums and driving alignment across Product, Sales, and Marketing stakeholders
Exceptional written communication, able to turn complex technical capability into a message a rep, an analyst, or a CISO will actually retain
