Associate, Legal Operations
About the role
FalconX is a digital asset prime brokerage serving institutional clients across multiple jurisdictions. Our legal function supports trading documentation, regulatory obligations, licensing, entity governance and corporate matters.
We’re hiring an Associate, Legal Operations to make our Legal department an AI-native function. You’ll build AI and automation into real legal matters, strengthen the knowledge and processes behind them, and automate the repetitive work that today consumes counsel time.
You'll start with a legal AI platform already live on matters, agentic development tools, and a team committed to deep AI implementation. You’ll own projects from discovery through implementation and adoption. The goal: enable faster delivery, reduce repetitive work, improve service quality and give counsel more time for legal judgment then expanding the use case into other areas of the firm.
What you will do
AI-native legal delivery
Redesign how legal work gets done. Eliminate unnecessary steps, build counsel-approved self-service paths and clarify ownership across teams. Prioritize improvements by impact, risk and effort.
Build and deploy AI workflows for drafting, playbook-based review, regulatory research and regulator correspondence, all in partnership with counsel.
Select additional tools where needed. Work with IT, Security and vendors on integrations and technical dependencies
Own rollout and adoption. Test with users, train teams, document workflows and improve what you ship
Establish evaluation, confidentiality, access controls and human-review standards with counsel and Security
Measure turnaround times, manual effort, errors, adoption and user experience. Use results to prioritize improvements
Legal knowledge as infrastructure
Structure contracts, entity data, obligations, templates, playbooks and precedents for reliable search and AI use
Establish ownership and maintenance processes to keep legal information accurate, current and appropriately accessible
Make obligations, deadlines and entity information easy for Legal and authorized business teams to find and act on
Operating backbone
Run intake, triage and routing so every request has a clear owner, status and path to resolution
Own outside counsel management, the entity filings calendar, and signature and execution workflows
Track repetitive work, remove unnecessary steps and automate routine tasks while keeping operations dependable
Who you are
A builder with legal judgment. You’ve shipped AI or automation into a legal or adjacent function and can show what you built, how you drove adoption and what improved
Hands-on with technology. You configure platforms, work with APIs and light scripting, and build practical solutions with the resources available
Fluent in legal workflows. You understand where AI adds value, where human review matters and when counsel must be involved
An effective operator. You communicate simply, listen to users and deliver projects despite imperfect data and competing priorities
Experience in fintech, crypto, financial services or another regulated environment is a strong plus. A law degree or traditional legal ops career path is a plus but not required. We care about what you’ve built
2–5 years of relevant experience in engineering, automation or technical operations, with demonstrated delivery of AI-enabled workflows.
What success looks like
Counsel spends more time on judgment and less on repetitive work. Routine requests follow approved self-service paths, with clear escalation when needed. Contracts, obligations and precedents are structured and easy to find. Business teams know how to engage Legal and what to expect. Improvements show up in faster turnaround, less manual effort and reliable service. Legal becomes a model for AI adoption across FalconX.
