About the Role:

As an IT System Administrator, you will keep Dragos's systems, networks, and end-user environments secure, available, and well-documented. You will work directly with  The IT team to maintain infrastructure, support employees, and improve how IT operates. The role is hybrid. You will work on-site in Maryland a few days each week and remotely the rest.

Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and network equipment across Windows, Linux, and virtualized environments

Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, Group Policy, and user access

Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity, and resolve issues quickly

Manage patching and vulnerability remediation across systems and endpoints

Maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes, and test them on a regular schedule

Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for hardware, software, and network issues

Handle employee onboarding and offboarding, including accounts, equipment, and permissions

Enforce security controls such as endpoint protection, MFA, and least-privilege access, in line with Dragos security policy

Document systems, configurations, and procedures accurately

Track IT assets, licenses, and vendor relationships

Automate routine tasks where it saves time and reduces error

Qualifications:

1-3 years of experience in systems administration or a similar IT role

Strong working knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory

Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune)

Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls

Experience with virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V) and backup solutions

Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently

Direct, clear communication and a service-oriented approach to supporting users

Ability to work on-site in Maryland several days each week

Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, or equivalent experience

Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft MS-102 or AZ-104, or MCSA/MCSE, preferred

Scripting experience in PowerShell, Python, or Bash, preferred

Linux administration and cloud platform experience (Azure or AWS) preferred

Familiarity with ITIL, SOC 2, NIST, or similar frameworks, preferred

Interest in OT/ICS or critical infrastructure security

Compensation:

Salary: $68,000
