The mission of HubSpot’s Corporate Development team is to expand and enhance our organization’s growth via strategic acquisitions.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking an exceptional Associate to join the Corporate Development team at HubSpot, focusing on M&A.

You will play a consequential role supporting the sourcing, evaluating, and execution of strategic transactions at HubSpot, owning aspects of deals end-to-end — including developing investment theses, managing pipeline, diligence execution, and partnering on integration post-close .

You will work closely with cross-functional leaders to drive HubSpot’s inorganic growth strategy and execute initiatives that meaningfully expand our product capabilities and accelerate long-term growth across the entire platform.

This is a high-visibility, dynamic role with significant exposure to executive leadership and the opportunity to have a direct, measurable impact on HubSpot’s strategic direction.

What You'll Do

Assist in the execution of mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives across the entire HubSpot platform

Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to conduct diligence, review transaction documents, and complete financial modeling

Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analyses to identify potential targets and growth opportunities

Build relationships with emerging startups, investors, and other market participants, staying on top of industry trends and activity

Embody a customer-first culture centered around placing HubSpot customers at the forefront of every business decision

What You’ll Bring

2-4 years relevant work experience in investment banking, corporate development, or a similar role with experience working on live M&A transactions

Deep understanding and familiarity with financial modeling and valuation methodologies (including business case development, multiples-based approaches, DCFs)

Comprehensive financial acumen with ability to analyze complex financial data and make strategic recommendations

Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills, and the capability to handle multiple projects/stakeholders simultaneously

Curiosity about software, AI and the future of AI, with a strong pulse on market trends/dynamics

A growth mindset aligned with HubSpot’s commitment to Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex concepts for relevant audiences

Pay & Benefits

The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are tailored to your skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

Annual Cash Compensation Range:

$105,800—$158,700 USD
