Role Overview

As an Associate, Accounting, you are a detail-oriented problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining the highest standards of financial accuracy. You work closely with the broader accounting and finance team to support day-to-day general ledger operations, monthly financial closes, and account reconciliations. You love digging into the numbers, asking thoughtful questions to understand underlying processes, and finding creative ways to optimize financial workflows. What you do each day:

Support the monthly financial close processes by preparing journal entries and schedules

Perform balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure complete accuracy and compliance

Assist with accounts payable, cash payments and related accounting, payroll accounting, expense allocations, expense reimbursements, and other expense management workflows

Analyze account variances and assist with explaining fluctuations to key cross-functional stakeholders

Maintain detailed accounting documentation and audit trails to support continuous operational compliance

Collaborate with the People and Finance teams to support payroll and benefits accounting processes

Identify opportunities to streamline routine accounting processes and improve overall operational reporting

Partner with cross-functional teams to code and route invoices for approval, create and maintain vendor details, resolve vendor inquiries, invoice disputes, and operational discrepancies

Qualifications:

1–2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience required

Understanding of general accounting standards and financial principles

Must be willing and able to work a schedule aligned with U.S. Pacific Standard Time (PST) or Mountain Standard Time (MST) business hours.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (i.e. lookups,  pivot tables, etc.)

Experience with NetSuite and a modern AP system such as Airbase is a plus

Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to improve workflows, streamline execution, or enhance outputs

Compensation starts at $2,500 USD per month.
