About the Role

As a mid-level Art Director, you’ll be part of a creative team servicing a fast-growing US fintech brand. You’ll be responsible for delivering engaging B2B video, social, and OOH content that informs with an authentic and conversational voice. You’ll work with a distributed team of conceptual creatives, strategists, and account services to drive creative development from ideation to execution. The ideal candidate will be capable of bringing a wide range of fresh, on-brand options and presenting that work to clients across cultural lines. This position will be servicing a client team that is based in Eastern Time and so candidates must be able to work these hours.

Responsibilities:

Concept, ideate, and brainstorm creative campaigns with other team members.

Execute and produce final creative assets like digital ads, video content, OOH, and more.

Participate in client meetings (virtual and in-person), present your own work, and listen to and ingest client feedback.

Contribute to the design of presentation decks and key visuals.

Provide an art director’s POV and guidance during the internal and external production of video assets, including attending shoots, preparing pre-production materials, and overseeing post production needs.

Organize and manage creative product in collaboration with Project Managers.

Maintain consistent creative quality and become a brand expert.

About You

The essentials:

Must have 3-5 years experience working at an agency or in-house creative services team with a stand-out online portfolio of social, video, and OOH work.

Must be a conceptual thinker with the ability to partner with a copywriter to come up with creative campaigns that answer creative briefs.

Must have a strong design sensibility, with knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, and typography. The ability to work within brand style guides to produce work that is both original and on-brand for a variety of media platforms is key.

Must be able to provide multiple iterations quickly while maintaining attention to detail.

Must have a collaborative and curious mindset, with the ability to accept and receive constructive feedback from seniors members of the creative team.

Must demonstrate good communication skills, both verbal and listening abilities.

Must have competency with digital design tools: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Primarily Photoshop and Illustrator. After Effects and Indesign a plus), and Google suite (especially Google Slides).

Must be dependable, self-motivated, flexible, and capable of driving multiple projects forward in a fast-paced environment.

Not a Must but a Plus:

Experience with both B2B and B2C marketing - Fintech and/or B2B technology experience is a major plus.

NYC-based or within a commutable distance is strongly preferred.

Curiosity about or experience with generative AI tools for tasks like presentation visuals is a plus.

Experience briefing and working with production partners (including art directing photo and film shoots, directing motion design team, providing oversight for designers, supervising color sessions) is preferred.

Candidates who have established copywriting partners are encouraged to apply as a team.

Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.

Salary Range:

$85,000—$90,000 USD
