About Us

Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data.

Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on.

Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions.

As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact.

During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.

About the Role

Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies.

We’re looking for a an Analyst to join our GTM Analytics team, where we turn data into the insights that shape decisions across Sales, Strategy, RevOps, Marketing, Deal Desk, and more. Most of your work will be answering business questions directly — pulling and structuring data, summarizing it clearly, and delivering a recommendation. When a request genuinely calls for a dashboard, you'll help scope the requirements and hand them off to our central data team to build.

In this role, you'll work on well-scoped, clearly framed requests — writing SQL to pull data, looking up how a metric is already built in Looker or Omni when one exists, using Claude to refine and debug your queries, and shaping the output in Excel or Google Sheets into something a stakeholder can act on. This is a developmental role: as you build experience, you'll take on progressively more ambiguous and higher-stakes requests.

This is a full-time position based out of our Costa Rica office.

Technologies You’ll Use

SQL, Excel and/or Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, formulas), Claude (or similar AI assistants), Salesforce (viewing/reading data) — exposure to BI tools like Looker, Omni, Sigma, or Hex is a plus

What You’ll Do

Write and adapt SQL queries against well-defined requests, using Claude to refine logic and troubleshoot errors

Look up existing metrics in Looker or Omni to understand how they're already built, and reuse that logic where it applies

Pull, clean, and structure data in Excel or Google Sheets to answer scoped stakeholder questions

Summarize findings into clear, plain-language takeaways for non-technical stakeholders

Validate data accuracy against source systems before sharing outputs

Ask clarifying questions to properly scope a request before starting work

Escalate requests that require deeper analytical judgment to senior team members

Maintain documentation of recurring requests and their underlying logic

Support ad hoc reporting needs across Sales, Strategy, RevOps, Marketing, Deal Desk, among others

Build working knowledge of dbt Labs' GTM data model (Salesforce objects, opportunity stages, fiscal calendar)

Skills We’re Looking For

Working knowledge of SQL (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, basic aggregate functions)

Comfortable using AI tools like Claude to write, debug, or refine queries and analysis

Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)

Clear written and verbal communication skills in English

Basic understanding of SaaS sales concepts (opportunity stages, pipeline)

Strong attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work

Comfortable asking questions rather than guessing at ambiguous requests

Comfortable navigating existing Looker or Omni dashboards to trace how a metric is defined and built

Bonus Skills

Experience building in BI or exploratory-analysis tools like Looker, Omni, Sigma, or Hex (not required — happy to teach this on the job)

Familiarity with Salesforce

Prior internship or role in analytics, RevOps, or FP&A

Basic Python
