Group Overview

Air Mobility Group (AIRMOB) is responsible for developing and delivering Metrea’s aerial refueling (AAR) capabilities, ensuring the readiness and operational effectiveness of the tanker fleet. AIRMOB oversees fleet management, maintenance, and airworthiness, working to sustain and enhance refueling operations. It manages the integration of new processes and technologies, ensuring that tanker aircraft remain mission-ready through effective logistics, maintenance oversight, and regulatory compliance. By coordinating across various teams, AIRMOB ensures the fleet meets both current and future operational needs, supporting a range of specialized air mobility missions.

Position Summary

In this role, you will maintain the accuracy and integrity of aircraft maintenance records for AIRMOB’s aerial refueling fleet, ensuring every maintenance event is properly documented in AMOS and compliant with FAA requirements. You will handle daily records processing, data entry, document control, and filing while supporting the Records Manager in audits and quality reviews. You will be successful if you are organized, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment where accuracy directly supports fleet airworthiness.

What You'll Do

Enter maintenance work orders, log cards, and inspection records into AMOS on a daily basis

Review maintenance documentation for completeness and accuracy before system entry

Scan, index, and file technical records in both electronic and hard-copy filing systems

Verify mechanic stamps, signatures, and required data fields on all maintenance forms

Update aircraft and component tracking databases with current status information

Track and document compliance with Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins (SBs)

Maintain deferred defect logs and MEL tracking documentation

Research historical records to support maintenance planning and troubleshooting

Generate routine AMOS reports including aircraft status and compliance summaries

Coordinate with maintenance technicians to resolve documentation discrepancies

What You Bring

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in aviation or a related field preferred

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in aviation records management or maintenance administration

Working knowledge of AMOS or a comparable maintenance tracking system

Understanding of basic FAA regulations related to maintenance documentation

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word

Strong communication skills for coordinating with maintenance personnel

Preferred Qualifications

AMOS user experience

Aviation maintenance background or A&P license

Experience with military aircraft documentation

Knowledge of KC-135 or Boeing aircraft records

Familiarity with Part 91, 121, or 135 operations

Experience with Adobe Acrobat for PDF management

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Experience with electronic document management systems preferred

Understanding of configuration management principles a plus

Knowledge of SPEC 2000 or ATA chapter system a plus

Ability to obtain airport security badge (SIDA) where required

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.

Work Environment

This position operates primarily in an office environment with occasional visits to aircraft maintenance areas for documentation verification. Work involves extensive computer use for data entry and records processing. May require lifting and moving boxes of records (up to 30 lbs). The role requires sustained concentration for detailed documentation review and the ability to work in a deadline-driven environment. Occasional overtime may be required during aircraft inspections or audit preparations.

The compensation range shown below is a good faith estimate and reflects the expected base pay for this position upon hire. This is just one component of Metrea's overall approach to total rewards and final compensation decisions, including the ultimate salary or hourly rate agreed upon, may vary depending on factors such as job location, job-specific knowledge, skills, experience, and the overall negotiated compensation package.
