AI Growth Automation Engineer - Bogotá (Hybrid)
What you'll do
We're looking for someone who gets a kick out of turning "someone should really automate this" into a working tool by next week. You'll sit at the intersection of Lifecycle, Sales, and AI — building the agents, workflows, and internal products that let Clara prospect, sell, and onboard faster and smarter than a headcount-only approach ever could. This isn't a "use AI to write better emails" role. It's a build role. You'll ship things: SDR co-pilots, outbound agents, lifecycle automations, onboarding flows — and you'll own whether they actually move pipeline and activation, not just whether they're clever.
You will:
Build AI-powered prospecting & SDR tooling: design and ship agents/workflows that find, qualify, and engage prospects, and that get meetings on AEs' calendars — using tools like Amplemarket, Clay, HubSpot, and LLM APIs, glued together with n8n or custom code.
Own lifecycle automation end to end: build and iterate on onboarding, activation, and retention flows across email, WhatsApp, and push, using Customer.io and our internal data stack, with AI doing the heavy lifting on personalization, timing, and content generation.
Design the SDR-to-AE handoff as a system, not a manual process: instrument lead scoring, routing, and handoff logic so reps spend time on conversations, not admin.
Prototype fast, validate faster: you're expected to go from idea to working internal tool in days, test it against real pipeline/activation metrics, kill what doesn't work, and scale what does.
Partner cross-functionally: work directly with Sales, SDR leadership, Lifecycle, and Data/Eng to identify where automation unlocks the most value, and to make sure what you build actually gets adopted.
Turn data into iteration: use Metabase, HubSpot, and Customer.io data to measure what your builds are actually doing to CAC payback, meetings booked, activation rate, and pipeline generated — and report on it in plain, honest terms.
Who you are
We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Must haves
+2 years of hands-on experience building automation, internal tools, or AI-powered products — not just using AI tools, but shipping things that use APIs, LLMs, or agent frameworks to do real work.
Experience with workflow/automation platforms (n8n, Zapier, Make, or equivalent) and comfort integrating APIs across systems (CRM, marketing automation, sales tooling).
Working familiarity with CRM/lifecycle platforms such as HubSpot, Customer.io, or Salesforce.
Enough technical fluency to read/write basic scripts (Python, JavaScript) or work closely with engineers to get something shipped — you don't need to be a software engineer, but you can't be blocked waiting for one.
Strong written and verbal communication in English; ability to explain what you built and why it matters to non-technical stakeholders and executives.
A bias toward building and testing over planning — you'd rather ship a rough version this week than a perfect spec next month.
Nice to haves
Background in Lifecycle Marketing, RevOps, Sales Engineering, Product, or Software Engineering (any of these paths is fine — we care about what you've built, not your job title history).
Direct experience with sales engagement/AI prospecting tools (Amplemarket, Clay, Apollo, or similar).
Experience working with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) and basic prompt engineering.
Experience in B2B SaaS or fintech, ideally with an SDR/AE motion.
Startup or small-team experience where you owned something end to end, from idea to production.
Portuguese proficiency (not required, but useful across our MX/BR/CO/AR footprint).
