The Crypto Accounting team is a critical part of Robinhood's financial operations, responsible for maintaining the integrity of our financial records and supporting our rapid growth. As a Crypto Accounting Intern, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our digital asset financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and building scalable processes to support our rapid product expansion. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic FinTech environment.
The role will require strong analytical skills (including comfort with spreadsheet-based data manipulation), problem-solving ability, clear communication, and a proactive, patient, and positive approach. You will assist with the monthly close process, financial reporting, and a variety of ad-hoc projects, contributing directly to the team's success.
This role is based in our New York, NY office with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you’ll do
Assist with the monthly and quarterly close process, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
Support financial statement analysis and reporting
Apply U.S. GAAP principles to real-world accounting scenarios
Collaborate with various teams to gather information and resolve accounting discrepancies
Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives
What you bring
Currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with an expected graduation date in Winter 2027/Spring 2028
A foundational understanding of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology and interest in how digital assets impact financial reporting
Effective written and verbal communication and analytical skills
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected hourly range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
