Account Manager
Role: Account Manager
Location: Toronto, Canada
About the role:
As Account Manager, you'll be the primary day-to-day contact for assigned consumer packaged goods (FMCG) brand accounts — translating client needs into clear creative briefs, coordinating closely with a team of designers, and ensuring delivery that meets brand standards, timelines, and objectives.
Reporting into the Senior Account Director, you'll manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, build trusted relationships on both sides of the studio, and bring the organizational rigor and interpersonal confidence needed to keep complex projects on track. This is a role for someone who enjoys being the connective tissue of a creative team — equally comfortable in a client meeting and a creative review.
What you will be doing:
Manage day-to-day client relationships for assigned consumer packaged goods (FMCG) brand accounts, acting as a reliable, responsive, and credible point of contact
Translate client briefs into clear, actionable creative direction for the in-house design team — ensuring alignment on objectives, scope, timelines, and deliverables
Coordinate daily with the design team to support smooth workflow, resolve blockers early, and ensure output meets brief requirements and Diageo brand guidelines
Track project status across multiple concurrent workstreams, proactively communicating risks and updates to the Senior Account Director and client stakeholders
Prepare and present project timelines, status updates, and contact reports with clarity and consistency
Develop and maintain project documentation including creative briefs, production schedules, and approval records
Support budget tracking and production spend reporting — raising purchase orders and assisting with invoice management alongside the production team
Identify opportunities to improve studio workflows and streamline ways of working between the client and creative teams
Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive studio culture where creative work is well-briefed, well-managed, and well-delivered
What you need to be great in this role:
Solid account management or client services experience in an agency or in-house studio environment
Background in CPG, beverage, or FMCG — agency-side or client-side — is a strong advantage
Confident, clear communicator with the interpersonal skills to build credibility with clients and creative teams alike
Exceptional organizational ability — you manage competing priorities without things falling through the cracks
Proven experience working directly alongside creative or design teams, with an understanding of how to brief effectively and support the creative process
Comfortable managing high volumes of work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Proficiency with project management tools and workflow platforms
Gen AI and Agentic Thinking
Working proficiency with Gen AI tools relevant to account management — using them to enhance communication, project tracking, and output quality
Experience building (or interest in building) personal AI workflows that improve day-to-day efficiency
Agentic approach to problem-solving: ability to break complex briefs and workstreams into clear, manageable steps
Ability to critically evaluate AI outputs and apply human judgement before sharing or acting on them
