Mentoring & Enrichment - GO Fellows serve as mentors to their students, supporting their social and emotional development by building authentic and healthy relationships and setting goals for the future.
Qualifications
You are qualified to apply if you meet the following requirements:
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
Citizenship or legal Permanent Residency status in the United States (AmeriCorps requirement)
Served no more than three previous AmeriCorps service terms (AmeriCorps requirement)
At least 18 years of age

Confidence in your ability to lead students to significant academic growth in Math and/or ELA
Experience working in team settings- relationship building and communication skills

Ability to respond well to and implement feedback- commitment to lifelong learning
Collaborative problem-solving abilities
Prior experience working or volunteering with children is a plus
Able to travel to a GO partner school up to 5 days/week
GO Teacher Residency
The Teacher Residency is a pathway to teaching created for GO tutors. If you are successful as a tutor and interested in becoming a certified teacher, GO will help. More information will be shared with you once you begin tutoring.
