Strategy & Operations, Product Partnerships
About the Role
As a Strategy & Operations team member on the Product Partnerships team at Anthropic, you'll own the analytical foundation behind how Anthropic thinks about the value of data and product partnerships. You'll build the valuation frameworks that inform where we invest, and serve as the analytical partner to deal leads through negotiations.
Your ability to bring analytical rigor to open-ended questions, and to think broadly about the technology and content ecosystem, will serve you well in this role. This is a great fit for someone who thrives in ambiguity, can seamlessly pivot between high-level strategy and detailed analysis, and gets energy from solving problems that don't have an established playbook.
Responsibilities
Strategic Analysis and Valuation
Own the valuation frameworks used across data and product partnerships, and develop new approaches as partnerships evolve
Build the valuation models, partnership evaluation frameworks, and ROI analyses behind partnership initiatives
Maintain a benchmark library of comparable transactions and historical pricing, and conduct industry and competitive research to inform strategic decision-making
Serve as the internal expert on partnership spend, historical transactions, and forward planning
Take the team's most complex challenges from ambiguity to clarity, and prepare the analyses and recommendations to address them
Deal Support and Negotiation Strategy
Review inbound proposals and pricing from partners, and provide deal leads with a defensible analytical view
Partner with deal leads to develop negotiation strategies grounded in data, and support partner managers in navigating novel partnership structures
Operational Excellence
Design scalable systems and processes that enable the team to grow impact efficiently, leveraging Claude to build them
Build dashboards and reporting infrastructure to track portfolio health, deal pipeline, spend, usage, and key success metrics
Optimize the partnership lifecycle: sourcing, inbound tracking, contracts, cross-functional approvals, delivery, and feedback loops
Serve as the liaison between Partnerships, Research, Product and Finance, and work closely with xfn teams to address operational challenges
You May Be a Good Fit If You
Have 5+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, growth equity, venture capital, or internal strategy and operations at a technology company
Have exceptional analytical skills and advanced proficiency in financial modeling — you can build and maintain models from the ground up, and you enjoy the craft
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders (Research, Product, Partnerships, Finance, Legal)
Demonstrated ability to take full ownership of a workstream and drive it independently from question to decision
The judgment and conviction to form an opinion and defend it, paired with the openness to update it as the data evolves
Ramp quickly on unfamiliar subject matter — you can identify what drives value in a new domain before you're an expert in it
Build processes and systems from 0 to 1, and leave behind frameworks others can run without you
Reach for AI by default — when facing a repetitive analysis, your instinct is to build the tooling rather than grind through it
Are excited about Anthropic's mission to build safe, transformative AI systems
Strong Candidates May Also Have
Operating experience inside a company, not solely in an advisory or investing seat
A track record in negotiations, deal structuring, or partnerships
Background in data, content, or product licensing
Demonstrated fluency with Claude or other AI tools in your daily analytical work
Proficiency with SQL, Python, or similar
