The Challenge

We're looking for a Staff Product Specialist with to join our R&D Customer Engineering organization and lead Risk, Privacy, & Governance initiatives within the Design Partner Program. This is a highly strategic customer-facing role responsible for partnering with some of OneTrust's most innovative and influential customers as they modernize governance, reduce risk, and operationalize trust across their enterprise.

The Staff Product Specialist serves as the bridge between customers, Product Management, Engineering, and Executive Leadership. You will work directly with privacy leaders, GRC teams, risk officers, procurement organizations, compliance teams, security stakeholders, and engineering organizations to understand operational challenges, regulatory requirements, governance objectives, and business priorities. Your mission is to transform these insights into product strategy, platform capabilities, and roadmap investments that shape the future of OneTrust's Risk, Privacy, & Governance portfolio.

Success in this role means helping customers transform governance from a compliance obligation into a strategic business capability while accelerating adoption, influencing product direction, improving operational outcomes, and ensuring OneTrust remains the platform organizations trust to manage risk at scale

Your Mission

Define the Risk, Privacy & Governance Vision: Establish the long-term product vision, capability strategy, and roadmap priorities across Privacy Operations, Third-Party Risk Management, Technology Risk, Assessments, Compliance Automation, Data Governance, Policy Governance, and Integrated Risk Management. Translate regulatory change, customer requirements, and market opportunities into scalable product investments that help organizations build trusted governance programs.

Be the Voice of the Customer: Serve as the primary Risk, Privacy & Governance advocate for strategic Design Partner customers. Lead discovery workshops to understand governance maturity, operational workflows, regulatory obligations, risk management challenges, and business outcomes. Convert customer feedback, adoption challenges, product gaps, and market signals into actionable product recommendations and roadmap priorities.

Drive Governance Innovation: Guide the evolution of capabilities across privacy operations, risk assessments, third-party risk management, compliance workflows, control frameworks, policy governance, data governance, and operational resilience programs. Ensure products help organizations reduce risk while improving efficiency, accountability, and governance effectiveness.

Influence Product & Engineering Execution: Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Architecture, and Design teams to prioritize investments and accelerate delivery. Validate product direction through strategic customer engagements, Design Partner programs, and early-access initiatives. Drive measurable improvements in product quality, usability, adoption, and customer satisfaction.

Lead the Governance Community: Act as a trusted advisor to customers and internal stakeholders on privacy, governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience best practices. Represent customer needs during roadmap discussions, executive reviews, and strategic planning exercises. Influence market perception through customer advocacy, thought leadership, and strategic customer partnerships.

Measure Business Impact: Own business outcomes tied to adoption, regulatory readiness, risk reduction, operational efficiency, audit preparedness, ARR protection, and expansion opportunities. Establish success metrics that connect product investments to customer value and long-term platform growth. Drive measurable improvements in governance maturity and business outcomes.

You balance long-term platform vision with hands-on execution, turning complex AI capabilities into shipped customer outcomes. You’re collaborative, technical, and deeply accountable — a doer who drives alignment, owns tradeoffs, and delivers results across teams.

Your Experience Includes

8+ years of product management, product strategy, solutions consulting, or technical product leadership experience in enterprise SaaS environments.

Experience working directly with enterprise customers to define requirements, prioritize investments, and drive product adoption.

Demonstrated ability to influence product strategy through customer insights, market analysis, and business impact assessments.

Proven experience partnering with Engineering, Product Management, UX, Legal, Privacy, Security, Compliance, and Go-To-Market organizations.

Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and customer presentation skills.

Experience with Design Partner Programs, Customer Advisory Boards, Early Access Programs, Voice of Customer initiatives, or Product Advocacy organizations preferred.

Familiarity with regulatory and governance frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, DORA, and emerging privacy and risk management requirements preferred.

Demonstrated ability to balance product vision with execution while delivering measurable customer and business outcomes.
