The Mobile Product team supports Figma’s powerful companion apps for iOS and Android. We are looking for new team members who value collaboration, usability, and excellence to maintain and build new features that span web and native code. You’ll work closely with your engineering peers to chart out upcoming work and how best to execute on it. You’ll brainstorm with cross-functional partners (design, product, research, data science) to deliver delightful mobile experiences to Figma’s users.

We also work with product teams across Figma to identify the most impactful features to bring to mobile and continuously invest in the quality of our mobile apps to make them a joy to use for designers (and everyone else!).

This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.

What you'll do at Figma:

Work with PMs, designers, and native engineers to bring Figma’s most popular features to iPhone and Android

Build, refine, and maintain the web user interfaces and backend endpoints that are embedded in Figma’s mobile apps

Guide the evolution of new web-first features into powerful mobile-friendly experiences

Participate in user research and testing to better understand our customers

Share responsibility for testing, releasing, and maintaining our mobile apps

Communicate and document architectural designs and requirements

Provide thoughtful feedback to others on the team

Participate in on-call and release shepherd duties for our native apps

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

4+ years of professional experience building fullstack web-based mobile experiences

2+ years of professional experience building native Android or iOS mobile applications

A strong understanding of mobile product development practices and web product development practices

Proactive communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative environment with iOS, Android, and web engineers

A pragmatic approach to software development that delivers real user value through maintainable, performant code

A strong product sense and desire to deeply understand users

Enthusiasm for mentoring other engineers and helping shape engineering culture

While it's not required, it's an added plus if you also have:

Excitement to grow into new technology stacks

Experience influencing development practices across an engineering organization

Comfort with doing first draft UI designs in code that use established mobile UI/UX patterns

At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
