Software Engineer, Golang (Bitpanda Enterprise)
Your Mission
Join the UI engineering team at Bitpanda Enterprise, building the critical engine driving our speed, reliability, and scalability. As part of Bitpanda Enterprise, you will build out our all-in-one digital asset infrastructure, empowering banks, fintechs, and online platforms to seamlessly offer regulated trading and custody services for millions of users globally.
What you’ll do:
Architect and scale high-performance, distributed microservices in Go — engineered for real-world resilience, speed, and enterprise-grade traffic.
Power the UI platform by designing and maintaining robust APIs using GraphQL and REST that serve front-end platforms while consuming broader infrastructure.
Ship production-grade code that is clean, well-tested, and maintainable, backed by solid test suites and thoughtful architectural design.
Drive event-driven messaging architectures leveraging brokers like Kafka and AWS SQS for decoupled, asynchronous processing.
Optimize database performance across both SQL and NoSQL systems to ensure efficient data modeling and high-speed retrieval.
Collaborate with sharp minds in Bucharest to challenge ideas, vet solutions, and push features from the whiteboard to production.
Who you are:
Seasoned engineer with at least 3+ years of solid hands-on experience building complex, real-world backend applications or enterprise software.
Pro-level Go skills with experience writing production-grade Golang, or senior-level backend expertise in another language with strong Go fundamentals.
API mastery in designing and consuming interfaces using GraphQL, REST, or gRPC.
Event-driven native with experience leveraging Apache Kafka, AWS SQS, or RabbitMQ for message-driven systems.
Database versatility across SQL and NoSQL storage systems, knowing which tool shines best for the job.
Cloud-native mindset with familiarity in AWS services like EKS and DynamoDB and containerized environments.
High engineering standards focused on testing, maintainability, and understanding how code operates under the hood.
