Senior Test Automation Engineer | Test Tooling
This role is offered as a hybrid in Brno, Czech Republic. We are only able to accept applications for those based in the Czech Republic or who have sponsorship to live and work in the Czech Republic.
What you'll do at Jamf:
At Jamf, we empower people to be their best selves and do their best work. As a member of a Test Automation team you will be responsible for critical parts of our infrastructure and tooling for automated test execution and reporting for distributed cloud software. As in whole industry, the AI is a growing part of our roadmap, on both sides. We build tooling that uses AI to answer a question most teams cannot answer: ‘are our tests actually good for AI era?’. Second big task is opening up our test automation infrastructure and reporting to AI agents, so engineers can trigger runs, query results and investigate failures from the AI tools they already work in. You will build both.
Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and leading delivery of complex initiatives the team work on. Your typical work will start in Claude Code and you will work with Python or Java for building services needed for running automated or reporting results or enhancing CI/CD pipelines built with ArgoWorkflows. Another important part of your role will be shaping test automation strategy and roadmap of TA team and driving its adoption which is significantly changing with AI speed of development. This will include working with engineers across to build tools product teams needs as well as working with stakeholders.
We are seeking a versatile and proactive person who bridges software development with test automation and can lead delivery of complex initiatives.
You will work with some of the following technologies daily and others occasionally: Java, Spring Boot, Serenity, Cucumber, Selenium, REST Assured, Testcontainers, TypeScript, Python, Redis, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, Docker, k8s, Jenkins, Bash, Groovy, GitHub Workflows, ArgoWorkflows, MCP. Mostly via AI coding.
What you can expect to do in this role:
Lead complex projects from ideation to delivery as well as holding prioritization discussions.
Design, develop and maintain test automation frameworks and related microservices – Serenity/Cucumber for Java tests, Pact for contract tests and some others.
Developing and maintaining testing stages in CI/CD in GitHub Workflows and/or ArgoWorkflow.
Build AI-powered testing tools — for example, tooling that measures how effective a test suite really is and surfaces where it fails to catch broken code.
What we are looking for:
Min. 5 years of experience developing software with an understanding of testing and quality assurance processes with good understanding of programming languages.
Ability to lead delivery of technical initiatives and help other teams to onboard new technology.
Hands-on AI fluency. You use AI coding assistants and agents in your daily work, you have a calibrated view of what they are good and bad at, and you want to build AI-driven tooling, not just consume it.
Experience with test automation frameworks like Serenity, Cucumber, Pact, Cypress or Playwright.
Experience with CI/CD tools and processes.
Familiarity with containerization technologies including Docker.
Team player.
