We are seeking a Senior People Business Partner to join our Global People Team, based in our Pune capability center. Addepar is at a critical inflection point, transitioning from an agile startup into a scalable, enterprise-grade wealth tech platform. This is not an administrative or order-taking role; it is a highly commercial, strategic HR position.

As a key partner to local leadership across R&D, GTM (Go-To-Market), and G&A, you will be the regional linchpin who actively dismantles functional silos. You will bridge the gap between global strategy and local execution, ensuring the APAC region operates as a unified, high-velocity commercial engine.

You will report directly to the Regional Director, People Partner - APAC, and serve as a trusted advisor to technical and commercial leaders, an expert in India employee relations, and a primary driver of scalable people programs. This role is designed for a resilient professional who excels in complex, fast-paced environments and brings the executive maturity to elevate the leadership capabilities of the site.

Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the country where this role is based on the first day of employment. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

What You’ll Do

Commercial Talent Strategy: Serve as the primary strategic People partner for the Pune office. Move beyond transactional HR by aligning performance management, compensation reviews, and org design directly with business ROI and regional scale.

Elevating Executive Maturity: Act as a dedicated, rigorous coach to the local manager and Director cohort. Identify gaps in leadership capability and actively coach junior managers to build executive presence, commercial awareness, and autonomous decision-making.

Cross-Functional Synergy: Actively break down historical silos between R&D, GTM, and G&A. Ensure technical and client-facing teams operate seamlessly under the "One Addepar" philosophy, collaborating closely with Global PBPs to maintain functional consistency across time zones.

ER, Compliance & "The Vault": Manage end-to-end employee relations, including grievances, disciplinaries, and complex investigations. Act as the absolute standard-bearer for confidentiality and discretion on the floor. Ensure all local practices are strictly compliant with India labor laws while maintaining the "Addepar way."

Driving Scalable Excellence: Help the organization transition out of reactive "hero culture." Use data to identify operational drag and implement scalable, process-driven solutions that do not rely on single points of failure.

Program Implementation: Take top-down global people initiatives and expertly translate them for the APAC region, ensuring high cultural adoption without compromising global standards.

Who You Are

8+ years of progressive experience in a People Business Partner role, ideally within a high-growth, globally matrixed B2B SaaS, FinTech, or WealthTech company.

Commercial Acumen: You understand how a software business makes money. You can seamlessly connect talent initiatives to ARR, product delivery, and Go-To-Market execution.

India Employment Law Expert: Strong, up-to-date expertise in India employment law and compliance, with a flawless track record of handling sensitive employee relations issues with empathy, legal rigor, and professional judgment.

Executive Backbone: You are comfortable being the senior People presence in the room. You possess the confidence to respectfully push back on senior leaders, influence without authority, and guide the business toward scalable investments rather than short-term fixes.

Impeccable Discretion: You operate with the highest level of integrity and confidentiality, capable of building immense trust with both the local employee base and global executive leadership.

Navigating Ambiguity: Proven ability to thrive in a scaling environment where the playbook is still being written, identifying gaps in the employee experience and proactively driving the solutions.

Experience with Workday as an HR system will be highly preferred.

Important Note: This role requires working from our Pune office 3 days a week (hybrid work model)
