About the Team

The Compliance function at OKX Europe Markets Ltd is responsible for the firm's overall compliance culture. We're a team of risk-minded problem solvers who support the business in meeting its regulatory obligations under the MFSA licensing framework and applicable EU legislation, including MiFID II, DORA and AML/CFT directives.

About the Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to take on a senior role in the Compliance function of a regulated crypto business operating under a MiFID licence. Reporting to the Head of Compliance and MLRO, as Senior Compliance Manager you will work closely with them across the Company's Compliance Monitoring Programme, marketing material review, complaints handling, policy framework and regulatory recordkeeping, deputising for both as required and gaining direct exposure to MFSA supervision and EU financial services regulation.

What You'll Be Doing

Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP): Work closely with the Head of Compliance on the Company's CMP, supporting scheduled and ad-hoc reviews, remediation tracking and reporting of outcomes to Senior Management and the Board

Deputising for the MLRO and Head of Compliance: Act as deputy to the MLRO and Head of Compliance as required, including the assessment, escalation and, where appropriate, reporting of suspicious activity and other referrals to the MFSA or other relevant authorities

Marketing Material Review and Approval: Review client-facing marketing material for compliance with MiFID II and MFSA financial promotion rules, working closely with the Head of Compliance on approval decisions

Complaints Handling: Oversee the end-to-end complaints process, ensuring timely, compliant responses and escalating significant or recurring issues to the Head of Compliance

Policy Framework: Contribute to the design, implementation and maintenance of the Company's compliance manuals, policies and procedures, working closely with the Head of Compliance

Regulatory Liaison and Recordkeeping: Support the Company's regulatory relationship with the MFSA, including correspondence and breach reporting, and liaise with law enforcement and other external partners as required

Board and Management Reporting: Support the Head of Compliance and MLRO in preparing Compliance reports for Senior Management and the Board, and other materials required by internal stakeholders

Cross-Functional and Regulatory Engagement: Partner with teams such as Data, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Product and Risk to help embed an effective compliance framework aligned with MFSA/ESMA and EU standards, and support the Company's response to legal and regulatory requests

What We Look For In You

Bachelor's degree in law, finance, business administration or a related field; a relevant compliance certification (e.g. ICA, CAMS, CCEP) is preferred

Proven experience operating at Compliance Officer or Senior Compliance Officer level, with 5+ years' experience in a compliance, legal or regulatory role within financial services, fintech or crypto industries
