About the Team

Rubrik's Renewal Strategy & Operations team protects one of the most valuable, fastest-compounding assets in enterprise software: $1.57 billion in subscription ARR, growing 32% year-over-year. Every one of those dollars sitsinside a renewal contract - which means protecting and compounding that ARR is one of the highest-leverage jobs in the company.

Renewal Strategy & Operations is the team that builds the operating system for that asset. We sit at the intersection of commercial strategy, systems, and execution, and we are genuinely in a 0-to-1 build phase - the forecasting models, governance frameworks, quoting infrastructure, and playbooks that will run this business at 2x today's scale don't fully exist yet. That's the work: you will be designing the machine.

You'll bring a strategic voice that understands renewals as a business - thinking in terms of root cause, leverage points, and scalable systems. You'll partner directly with Sales, Finance, Deal Desk, Product, and IT leaders, and your fingerprints will be on the foundation this function runs on for years.

What You'll Do

Be a strategic partner to the business

Act as a direct strategic and analytical partner to the Senior Director, translating renewal metrics (ARR retention, churn, NRR/GRR, pipeline coverage) into a narrative leadership can act on.

Shape how the business talks about renewals in QBRs, and leadership reviews: what matters, why, and what we're doing about it.

Architect the systems this business will run on

Take end-to-end ownership of how renewal workflows, forecasting models, and quoting frameworks are designed - not just monitored - including multi-year, co-term, and mid-term expansion structures built to maximize ARR retention at scale.

Build the playbooks, governance frameworks, and standard operating procedures that don't exist yet, with an eye toward what this function needs to look like in two years, not just this quarter.

Own governance and quality as a system, not a checklist

Run quote governance and data quality as a discipline: root-causing discrepancies across CRM and renewal systems and building the controls that prevent them from recurring.

Partner with IT and RevOps to define what the systems and automation should actually do, rather than reacting to what they currently do.

Lead cross-functionally, with real ownership

Be the primary liaison between Renewals Operations and BI/Data teams, and a trusted partner to Sales, Finance, Legal, and Customer Success on renewal goals, definitions, and standards.

Bring structured thinking to new GTM programs and strategic initiatives - this role is expected to shape strategy, not just support it.

Who You Are

6+ years in strategy consulting, Strategy & Operations at a high-growth or large-scale tech company, or Sales/Renewal Strategy & Operations in a hyper-growth SaaS business - the common thread is structured problem-solving in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

You see yourself as an operator and builder - someone who wants to put foundations under a business that will still be standing at 2x the scale.

A structured, first-principles thinker: you can walk into ambiguity, build the framework, and drive it through to execution.

Strong independent project management instincts: you can define scope, sequence dependencies, manage risk, and drive multiple concurrent initiatives without close oversight.

Strong communicator, equally effective presenting to senior finance leadership and working through details with an individual analyst.

B.A./B.S. required; MBA a plus.

Nice to have: exposure to CPQ tools (Salesforce CPQ), forecasting platforms like Clari, SaaS renewal metrics (ARR, NRR, GRR, churn), or SQL/Python for ad hoc analysis.
