Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal:

We are actively searching for a New York Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal that has a wealth of experience in both pre-litigation and litigation phases. We value the expertise that comes with the many years that a seasoned Paralegal can bring. If you have a passion for legal support and a desire to be part of a team that values your experience and work/life balance, we invite you to join us. As a PI Litigation Paralegal, you will:

Responsibilities:

Manage a high-volume plaintiff personal injury caseload during the litigation phase.

Draft litigation documents including pleadings, Bills of Particulars, discovery responses, authorizations, stipulations, motions, and other case-related filings.

Prepare, file, and serve legal documents through NYSCEF while ensuring compliance with New York court rules and filing deadlines.

Coordinate depositions, court conferences, independent medical examinations (IMEs), mediations, arbitrations, and other litigation-related proceedings.

Review, organize, and maintain medical records, medical billing, employment records, insurance documentation, and other case materials.

Prepare medical chronologies, deposition summaries, document indexes, and attorney case materials.

Monitor litigation deadlines, maintain accurate case calendars, and proactively follow up on outstanding discovery and case requirements.

Communicate regularly with clients, attorneys, opposing counsel, courts, medical providers, expert witnesses, and court reporting services regarding case progression.

Organize electronic case files and ensure all litigation documents are accurately maintained within the firm's case management system.

Assist attorneys with case preparation for depositions, settlement conferences, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and other litigation proceedings.

Perform additional litigation support responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Law or related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Personal Injury Paralegal.

Proficiency in legal software such as Litify, eCourts, and legal databases.

Excellent written communication skills.

Meticulous attention to detail.

Strong analytical skills.

Effective time management abilities.

Demonstrated team collaboration experience.

Professional interpersonal communication skills.

Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and technologies.

Commitment to upholding ethical standards.

Strong organizational skills.

Basic understanding of legal research methodologies.

Relevant certifications or licenses related to paralegal studies or legal assistance.

Compensation Range:

$80,000—$85,000 USD

Compensation: The base salary or hourly range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to; prior relevant experience, business needs and market factors. Additionally, salary wages are only part of the total compensation package.
