IT Administrator (f/m/x) - remote
As an IT Administrator at refurbed, you will work closely with your colleagues to maintain and enhance our IT services, ensuring stability, security, and efficiency. You will have the opportunity to utilise your technical knowledge in Windows & MacOS administration and networking to identify and resolve complex issues, implement best practices, and contribute to projects that enhance our IT infrastructure. Typically, around 60% of your time will be spent supporting our staff through the IT helpdesk.
WHO YOU ARE:
Relevant education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
1–3 years of experience in IT administration, IT support, or a similar technical role.
Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac OS administration (installation, configuration, and troubleshooting).
Familiarity with Microsoft cloud technologies, including Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, Azure, identity, and device management.
Understanding of Linux/Unix systems (installation, configuration, and administration).
At least basic programming or scripting knowledge (e.g. PowerShell, Bash, Python).
Understanding of networking principles and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, routing, and switching.
Enthusiasm for exploring AI-powered tools such as Claude and ChatGPT/Codex and automation to streamline workflows and solve problems more effectively.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently, partner effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and communicate complex topics clearly across the company.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Provide comprehensive technical support to internal staff through the IT helpdesk, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and resolving technical challenges promptly and effectively. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering clear and concise solutions tailored to the end-user's needs and technical proficiency.
Prepare, configure, and provide equipment for employees, and support onboarding for new joiners by ensuring smooth access to core devices, accounts, and business services for both on-site and remote team members, including arranging equipment shipments where required.
Be present in the office at least three days per week to support employees, collaborate with stakeholders, and assist with hardware-related tasks.
Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.
Document solutions, processes, and configurations to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure continuity of operations.
Participate in maintaining and improving the company's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, cloud services, and networking components.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver technical solutions while driving best practices that enhance system functionality, reliability, security, and performance.
