Job Summary

The HRBP serves as a consultative partner to assigned client-group leaders, advising on organizational and people decisions while owning key People Operations programs — including employee relations and investigations, compensation, and compliance matters. This role combines hands-on program ownership with strategic advisory skills, and works closely with the Director, People Operations to support Impiricus' continued growth.

Responsibilities:

HR Advising

Serve as a trusted HR advisor to assigned client-group leaders, consulting on organizational structure, performance management, policy, and people decisions

Provide mentorship to lower-level HR staff who are growing in areas of expertise such as employee relations, workplace investigations, and compliance

Employee Lifecycle

Own employee lifecycle tasks for the client group, including coordination of work visa/immigration matters, leave management, terminations meetings, severance negotiation, and more

Lead recognition and engagement programming for the client group, including supporting DEI initiatives, employee resources groups, engagement/pulse surveys, and more

Employee Relations

Own formal workplace investigations from intake through findings report, and advise executives on high-risk separations and litigation-adjacent matters in partnership with Legal

Own the ADA interactive process and resolve complex or contested leave and accommodation cases

Compliance

Own compliance activities, including FLSA classification audits

Draft policies and procedures with multi-state compliance in mind

Advise Director, People Operations of potential risk & compliance issues within client group

Maintain positive working relationships with outside employment counsel

Compensation & Benefits Design

Own the design and execution of job-leveling/pay-band recommendations for assigned client group(s) in collaboration with Talent team

Support annual commission and variable compensation agreement administration for the client group

Provide recommendations for benefits expansion based on client group need and feedback

Technology & Innovation

Own HR data integrity and maintain metrics and reporting

Harness AI ethically and responsibly to automate tasks and create efficiencies

Champion process improvement and innovation

Project Management

Own and drive projects and growth initiatives as assigned

Represent People Operations on cross-functional strategic initiatives

Cross Functional Partnership

Partner with Finance, Talent, and L&D on workforce planning

Collaborate with L&D to operationalize company-wide growth initiatives and ensure People Ops processes reinforce a culture of continuous learning

Partner with Legal on employment agreements, policy language, and litigation-risk matters

Respond to manager/employee questions with sister HR functions (TA, L&D)

Coordinate with HR Generalists and HR Specialists to execute tasks and maintain up-to-date records, employee files, HRIS, and more

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience

PHR/SHRM-CP or SPHR/SHRM-SCP preferred

3+ years of HR business partner or generalist experience, including direct experience with employee relations and workplace investigations

Demonstrated experience consulting with and advising leaders on organizational and people decisions

Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state employment law, leave/accommodation frameworks, and compensation mechanics

Track record of managing sensitive, high-risk personnel matters with sound, defensible judgment

Proven ability to build trust and influence without authority across executives and cross-functional peers

The base salary range for this role is $95,000 - $115,000
