Nightingale College is looking for an Assistant Professor I, General Education to join our faculty community and help shape the academic foundation our students build their nursing careers on. In this role, you'll develop, teach, and evaluate one or more general education courses; advising and mentoring students while keeping a close eye on their progress against course objectives and published schedules, all under the guidance of the Director, General Education.

This is a remote position with just one required trip per year and one orientation trip required, making it a great fit for educators who want deep teaching impact without sacrificing flexibility.

Budgeted Salary Range: $65,000.00

What You'll Do

Develop, administer, teach, and evaluate students in general education coursework

Advise and mentor students throughout their coursework

Monitor student performance against course objectives and published schedules

Complete annual professional development to keep growing in your craft

Deliver fast, personalized grading — all grading completed within 5 days of week's end

Post at least two personalized weekly announcements and participate in discussion boards at least three separate days a week, with substantive replies that push discussions forward

Provide meaningful, written feedback on instructor-graded work for any student who didn't score 100%

Run regular office hours, review sessions, or tutorials, and proactively identify support for at-risk students

What You Bring

A Master's Degree in your teaching domain from an accredited institution (or equivalent experience)

At least 18 credit hours of direct study in the discipline you'll be teaching

Minimum of 1 year of experience in higher education (online experience preferred)

Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience (online preferred)
