Engineering Manager - Data Platform

The Role

We are currently seeking an Engineering Manager to join Addepar’s Data Platform! In this role, you will directly contribute to a global platform used by over half the company every day for shipping data & AI products at scale. You’ll be expected to be hands-on: building services, providing commentary and insight on architecture, and working daily with a range of engineering & product stakeholders to improve velocity and enable platform capabilities that allow Addepar to be the ultimate data & AI platform for finance. Additionally, you’ll manage a global team with a mix of experience and help them grow and be productive.

What You’ll Do

Work on greenfield projects changing what is possible for a lakehouse architecture to do for improving velocity & shipping products

Build & own entire services end-to-end that can scale at the enterprise level Addepar serves

Help architect and contribute to the next generation interface onto our platforms to enable seamless development with agentic AI

Manage a global team with a mix of experience and help them grow and be productive

Help support our global operating model for data & infrastructure across Addepar’s broader platform

Who You Are

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

At least five years of experience

Deep experience working with cloud infrastructure directly with infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform) on AWS

Deep technical knowledge of Java or Python, and datastores like DyanmoDB, Postgres, MySQL, etc.

Knowledge of systems design & distributed processing through technologies such as Apache Spark or Databricks / Snowflake is a huge plus

Knowledge on messaging technologies like Kafka / AWS Kinesis or similar is a plus
