Director of Demand Generation
Impact in This Role
As the Director of Demand Generation with MISUMI Americas, you will oversee the demand generation strategy and acquisition engine, in close partnership with the Director of Performance Marketing. This leader will report directly to the Vice President of Growth Marketing and will shape the roadmap for generating demand and converting prospects into high-value customers. This role requires a builder who thrives on experimentation, analytical rigor, and cross-functional partnership.
What You’ll Be Doing
Acquisition Strategy and Roadmap
Own lead generation and lead nurturing strategies from first touch to purchase.
Build and optimize multi-channel acquisition programs across organic and strategic channels, while partnering closely with the Director of Performance Marketing on paid channel strategy and execution.
Manage, align, and forecast acquisition budgets with a clear ROI framework.
Develop the acquisition roadmap. Identify new opportunities and scale high-performing channels.
You will take responsibility for the entire lead generation lifecycle. You will drive top-of-funnel volume through strategic programs, organic channels, and new experiments, while influencing paid channel strategy.
You will explore and validate new channels. You will develop the assets needed to support these programs, partnering with internal teams to produce content, ads, and other creative work that drive traffic to leads and customers.
Performance Measurement and Leadership
Partner with sales to maintain quality standards for MQLs and to ensure proper follow-up.
Own acquisition-sourced pipeline and revenue targets in partnership with Sales.
Be accountable for lead-to-revenue performance, not just top-of-funnel volume.
Manage the funnel. Diagnose drop-off points and propose solutions that improve conversion.
You will work closely with sales leadership to ensure that MQLs are routed and followed through with consistent quality. You will run the process that aligns marketing and sales on targeting, qualification, and revenue goals.
Performance Measurement and Leadership
Own performance measurement. Track KPIs such as MQLs, signups, new accounts, and revenue.
Partner with lifecycle and product marketing to improve activation and early customer conversion.
Optimize signup-to-SQL and signup-to-first-value rates.
Present insights, forecasts, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Run multiple campaigns simultaneously with strong prioritization and team coordination.
Operate as a senior IC with influence across Growth, Sales, and Product.
You will operate with deep analytical discipline. You will measure channel performance and campaign ROI, and use the insights to improve the system with clear recommendations.
Creative and Vendor Management
Oversee creation of ads, landing pages, content, and other materials that support demand generation.
Manage relationships with agencies and vendors as needed.
Desired Traits
Proven experience driving acquisition programs at scale in fast-moving, high-growth, or startup environments.
Ownership of multi-channel growth strategies with responsibility for revenue impact.
Strong analytical ability. Comfortable with experimentation, attribution, and funnel analysis.
Experience running high-tempo experimentation cycles across channels, messaging, and conversion points.
Ability to operate independently and in ambiguity, prioritizing speed and learning over perfection.
Ability to partner effectively with sales and build alignment across teams.
Ability to tailor acquisition strategies by ICP, industry, and buying persona.
Experience developing creative assets and working with content and design partners.
Strong communication skills.

Salary Range: $155,000 to $185,000 per year, depending upon experience
