As a Business Analyst, you will be a pragmatic problem solver with an inquisitive mindset. You will work closely with your sprint team to understand business challenges, shape requirements and support the delivery of effective, scalable solutions.

Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst, you will work as part of a team of business analysts and delivery professionals spanning mobile, web, backend software, infrastructure and automation products. The focus is on delivering highly scalable customer experiences across mobile and web-based applications, software, APIs and internal systems.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Help the team articulate problems in ways that are understood by all stakeholders, both business and technical.

Ensure your team has a clear understanding of business, operational and customer needs so that solutions meet requirements and deliver measurable value to the business and our users.

Produce and identify stakeholder requirements through conversations, document analysis, workshops, business process descriptions, analysis, use cases, scenarios, and workflow analysis.

Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across Technology, Product and Business teams, ensuring alignment on objectives, priorities and expected outcomes.

Map, analyse and document current and future business requirements using standard tools and agreed standards, creating a shared understanding of how solutions are intended to function and evolve.

Analyse existing business processes, customer journeys, and operational workflows to identify opportunities for improvement, simplification and automation.

Support teams in identifying both functional and non-functional requirements relevant to the solutions being built.

Work in a data-led way, helping to articulate the value delivered through solutions in partnership with insight teams.

Use data, customer feedback and performance metrics to identify opportunities, validate assumptions and measure solution success.

Define and support the tracking of business outcomes, benefits and success measures to ensure value realisation from delivered initiatives.

Apply design thinking with the team to critically analyse and refine the problems and requirements being solved, ensuring solutions are user-focused and consider multiple scenarios.

Champion customer and user needs throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring decisions are evidence-based and user-centred.

Support user research, usability testing and discovery activities to validate assumptions and proposed solutions.

Ensure problems and requirements are sufficiently defined, independent, valuable, estimable and testable before work begins.

Work closely with the Product Owner, UX, Agile Delivery Leads, Scrum Masters and engineering teams to deliver outcomes for both business-as-usual activity and larger strategic initiatives.

Partner with Product Owners to maintain a healthy backlog through refinement, prioritisation and requirement decomposition.

Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to define acceptance criteria and ensure requirements are understood, testable and ready for delivery.

Facilitate workshops and discussions to drive consensus, align stakeholders and support effective decision-making.

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews and retrospectives.

Proactively identify risks, assumptions, dependencies and constraints, working with stakeholders to mitigate potential delivery impacts.

Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, translating complex concepts into clear and actionable requirements.

Partner with Product Owners and delivery teams to ensure solutions are focused on delivering measurable customer and business outcomes, rather than simply meeting documented requirements.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Essential Criteria:

Strong user story writing skills, with the ability to clearly articulate user and business needs in a format that is easily understood by the team.

Experience creating and managing acceptance criteria and supporting teams in refining requirements to a delivery-ready standard.

Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions, build consensus and challenge constructively where required.

Experience facilitating workshops, discovery sessions and conversations to gather, analyse and validate requirements.

An understanding of programming, software engineering and digital design concepts, enabling you to analyse and challenge proposed solutions.

An understanding of APIs, system integrations and modern digital delivery practices.

The ability to manage changing business and technical requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Experience working within Agile product teams, with a good understanding of Scrum and Kanban principles.

Experience using business analysis techniques such as process modelling, impact assessment, root cause analysis, gap analysis and requirements elicitation.

Experience creating artefacts such as process maps, user journeys, workflow diagrams and business requirement documentation using industry-standard techniques and tools.

The ability to contribute to digital design, development estimates and strategic decision-making.

A strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights that support decision-making.

Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart or similar collaboration and documentation platforms.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor communications to both technical and non-technical audiences.

A systematic and analytical approach to problem-solving.

Demonstrable experience translating business objectives into actionable requirements that drive measurable value.

A curious mindset, with an appetite to learn, continuously improve and challenge the status quo.

Experience working within a digital, e-commerce or customer-facing technology environment would be advantageous.
