Treasury Associate
Position Summary
The Treasury Associate is a results-driven and confident professional responsible for managing, executing and enhancing treasury operations in support of day-to-day business activities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient cash management, execution of cash transactions, bank account reconciliations, and supporting the organization’s financial stability and growth.
What You'll Do
Deliver high-quality, accurate service across the organization with timely responsiveness
Manage daily cash management activities: cash positioning, daily reporting, payments execution, and FX transactions
Reconcile daily cash receipts and disbursements; safeguard company funds and bank accounts
Liaise weekly with Accounts Payable to secure proper approvals for wire transfers and ACH payments
Support prompt resolution of returned or failed wire transfers and ACH transactions
Partner with FP&A to develop cash forecasts and monitor performance against projections
Rationalize and consolidate bank accounts; open new accounts to support growth
Optimize payment processes, reducing dependence on paper checks and wires in favor of ACH/electronic solutions
Collaborate with lenders and creditors to support financing activities and broader objectives
Strengthen internal controls and treasury policies; identify improvements to mitigate risk, increase efficiency, and reduce costs; take on additional duties as assigned
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related field with 3–5 years of relevant experience (accounting/finance/treasury/banking)
Strong team orientation; comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback
Solid cash management, treasury operations, and cash forecasting knowledge
Experience with bank portals, ERP systems, and financial reporting tools
US GAAP familiarity; advanced Excel skills including large datasets and financial modeling
Aerospace/defense industry experience is a plus but not required
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail and numerical aptitude
Highly organized; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; proactive about continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and fraud prevention

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time exempt position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require.

This job operates in an office setting.
Travel
Modest travel, less than 5% to other Metrea offices may be required.
