Our Hardware Platforms and Accessories Team is seeking a Digital Hardware Engineer. You would be responsible for creating, testing, integrating and maintaining hardware designs for tactical radios. The essential duties and responsibilities include:

Develops system and module level requirements and specifications.

Designs and simulates digital circuits and systems, including associated analog and power circuits

Creates required design documentation.

Verifies and Validates product performance through debug, test and analysis at the component, module and system level.

Leads small project teams, mentors junior engineers.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Develops relationships with team members built on trust and respect.

Education and work experience requirements are:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field of study required.

At least 5-7 years overall experience in designing products with significant digital hardware content.

To be considered for this position, you would need to meet, at a minimum, the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed here:

Good understanding of Microprocessors, Microcontrollers, SOCs, Programmable Logic and Memory.

Working knowledge of associated analog and power hardware such as audio/video and SMPS circuits

Knowledge of high-speed busses such as LPDDR, PCIe, USB, Ethernet.

Knowledge of low-speed peripheral busses such as SPI, I2C, SMBus

Proficiency in software tools of the trade: Schematic Capture, PCB layout, Digital Timing Simulators, Signal Integrity Simulators

Experience designing for manufacturability and test

Demonstrates documentation skills and proficiency with PC office applications.

Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strong collaborative drive and interpersonal skills.

Strong initiative, proactive work ethic and prioritization skills.

Trustable judgement and analytical problem-solving skills.

TrellisWare Technologies pays competitively according to the market in an individual's geographic location, in addition to their qualifications and experience. The posted range is annually and for individuals located in the San Diego, CA area.

$115,000—$185,000 USD
