CEMA Market Development
Position Summary
Metrea's UK Market Development team is looking for a CEMA Market Development to drive technical engagement across our Cyber, Electronic Warfare (EW) and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) portfolio, covering markets across the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
This is a role for someone who genuinely understands how tactical and strategic Cyber and EW missions work, and how UAS enables them. You will have a record of success connecting operational requirements to engineering solutions, and the market awareness to navigate a customer base spanning Defence, Intelligence, Police and Security Services.
The role reports to the CEMA Market Development Lead.
What You'll Do
Technical Engagement and Demonstration
Provide multi-platform demonstration, training and operational services across Cyber, EW, SIGINT and UAS solutions, including Field Service Engineering support
Achieve RPC qualifications, sponsored by Metrea
Communicate with customers to understand their operational needs and provide technical guidance as required
Collaborate with engineers and internal stakeholders to ensure end-user requirements are captured and fed back into capability development
Design and develop capability training documentation to requisite national standards
Pipeline and Portfolio Growth
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of leads and opportunities capable of meeting or exceeding business objectives
Develop and grow the portfolio with both existing and prospective customers
Generate market and competitor intelligence, including analysis specific to individual opportunities
Campaigns and Bids
Design and deliver campaign plans aligned to business strategy, supporting pipeline and portfolio growth
Support bid and proposal writing, helping to establish proposal strategies and themes that clearly differentiate Metrea from competitors
Stakeholder and Cross-functional Collaboration
Develop and maintain relationships across Metrea's Aerospace business units
Collaborate with internal teams to identify and resolve technical issues and improve product performance
Ensure capability development aligns to relevant standards and regulations across the UK and EMEA
Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, technology developments and best practices
What You Bring
At least ten years of operational experience across SI, EW, Cyber and/or UAS missions, with a strong understanding of how these capabilities are employed at tactical and strategic levels
Broad market awareness across Defence, Intelligence, Police and Security Services in the UK and internationally, with a demonstrable history of identifying operational gaps and translating them into requirements
Current knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies, with the ability to turn market insight into solution and strategy recommendations for senior leadership
Experience in organisations known for building high-performing technical solutions is an advantage
Proven track record in campaign planning, bid writing, pipeline development and customer relationship management
Strong ability to build and sustain relationships and partnerships with external customers and stakeholders
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence and credibility to represent Metrea's market development capability at all levels
Willingness and ability to travel across the UK and internationally as the role requires

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Work Environment
Hybrid (attendance at Lincoln office 3 days a week).
Travel
This job routinely operates in an office setting. However, you will be required to travel both in the UK and internationally for trade shows, capability demonstrations and engagement activities.
