ROLE: Senior Copywriter
LOCATION: South Africa (Hybrid)
We need a Senior Copywriter that is passionate about creating and crafting copy for an assortment of platforms and channels, that can communicate with clarity and make complex information simple.
You will be creating copy and developing ideas across a range of touchpoints including social media, web, email, video scripts, and long-form content, as well as internal communication. Although you will need to be experienced across various forms of copywriting, a solid understanding around social is key for this role. If you can jump seamlessly from writing an explainer video to a social post and then a brand article without compromising on the brand tone or messaging, then this role is for you!
WHAT IS REQUIRED
Create creative ideas and copy across various advertising and marketing formats.
Responsible for owning and evolving our brand tone of voice, ensuring every word we put out into the world is consistent and purposeful
Lead and push our creative copywriting output across all briefs big or small.
Brainstorm visual and copy ideas within the design team.
Work closely with the team to deliver all copy and ensure consistency and
accuracy in alignment with strategy across our brands.
Previous advertising agency experience necessary.
We’ll need to see a portfolio with examples of your writing skills across a broad array of media – not just TV commercials ;) Think explainer videos, articles, social copy and more!
Your seniority will mean you can take a brief from idea to delivery.
Can craft a compelling deck and are comfortable presenting to clients.
Exceptional command of language and grammar.
WHAT GOOD LOOKS LIKE
Ability to create original, impactful, and engaging ideas & copy across social,
digital and print campaigns.
Understand what great content across specific social platforms looks like and how to adapt copy and creative to achieve this for distinct creative outputs.
Can write and adapt content across multiple touchpoints.
Can distil complex processes into easy-to-understand and direct copy that aligns with the brand tone of voice.
Loves the craft of writing across all media, with a built-in understanding of
how to adapt your writing style to the different creative outputs.
Have a genuine love for creating ideas and pushing those ideas whenever
the opportunity arises.
An excellent team player: collaborative and adept at building relationships
with everyone both internal and external.
The ability to write on-brand B2C and B2B creative copy that delivers a
consistent tone of voice.
Be self-motivated, proactive and collaborative, with a can-do attitude – we need someone who can understands how to deliver without constant intervention.
Experience in motoring, finance, charity, government or health sectors is beneficial.
8+ years of experience within creative teams and departments.
