WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Consultant, you will help our client design, implement, and support scalable cloud solutions within Microsoft Azure. This role combines hands-on engineering with architectural thinking, calling for an experienced consultant who can operate with a high degree of independence and bring sound technical judgment to complex cloud environments. You'll build modern, secure, and automated infrastructure that supports enterprise applications and services.
You will work across networking, compute, storage, and identity components to deliver end-to-end cloud solutions while leveraging infrastructure-as-code practices and CI/CD automation. In close collaboration with application teams, security, and operations, you will ensure that cloud environments are resilient, well-governed, and aligned with best practices. Your ability to integrate automation, enforce security controls, and optimize cloud architecture will be key to delivering production-ready solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Architect and implement cloud infrastructure solutions in Microsoft Azure across compute, storage, networking, and identity services, driving design decisions independently
Own end-to-end architecture of cloud environments that support both application and platform components
Design and manage advanced Azure networking configurations, including virtual networks, private connectivity, DNS, and hybrid connectivity solutions
Lead development of infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform, including reusable modules and state management practices
Architect and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, establishing automation standards for infrastructure deployment
Design and implement Azure governance frameworks, including policies, management groups, monitoring, and logging
Drive cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, network segmentation, and secrets management
Act as a consultative partner to cross-functional teams, shaping secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions rather than executing predefined tasks
Proactively troubleshoot and optimize cloud environments to improve performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
YOUR EXPERIENCE:
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience architecting and working within Microsoft Azure cloud environments, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and self-direct
Proven track record as a consultative, solutions-first engineer who identifies problems and drives them to resolution without requiring detailed task assignment
Deep expertise in Azure networking concepts, including private connectivity and hybrid networking patterns
Demonstrated experience architecting cloud solutions that support both front-end and back-end services
Advanced proficiency with Terraform, including module development, remote state management, and infrastructure automation
Proven experience architecting and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, particularly using GitHub Actions or similar tools
Strong command of cloud security principles, including identity management, access controls, and data protection
Demonstrated experience designing governance and monitoring solutions within Azure environments
Excellent communication and consultative skills, with the ability to act as a trusted advisor translating business requirements into technical solutions
Ability to quickly upskill and adapt to new technologies with minimal ramp-up support
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting or managing on-premises infrastructure (e.g., Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware)
Deep familiarity with hybrid cloud architectures and on-premises to cloud connectivity
Experience architecting monitoring, access management, and infrastructure lifecycle solutions
Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, or AZ-500
Exposure to additional infrastructure-as-code or configuration management tools
