Barbaricum is seeking a Logistics and Property Management Specialist to provide comprehensive logistics, inventory management, property accountability, and supply chain support for Department of Defense (DoD) programs. The successful candidate will support the lifecycle management of Government property, tactical and laboratory equipment, and mission-critical assets while ensuring accountability, regulatory compliance, and efficient transportation of materials across CONUS and OCONUS locations. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience supporting secure Government environments.
Responsibilities
Provide logistics, inventory management, and property accountability support for Government-owned equipment, materials, software, and mission-critical assets.
Manage the receipt, inspection, storage, inventory, issuance, transfer, and disposition of accountable and non-accountable Government property.
Maintain accurate property records using Government-approved logistics, inventory, and asset management systems.
Conduct physical inventories, reconcile inventory discrepancies, and maintain asset accountability throughout the equipment lifecycle.
Prepare and maintain hand receipts, sub-hand receipts, property passes, equipment transfer documentation, and asset disposition records.
Coordinate the shipment and transportation of equipment, supplies, and materials, including classified and sensitive items, in accordance with Government security requirements and applicable regulations.
Prepare equipment for shipment by selecting appropriate packaging materials, ensuring proper labeling, generating shipping documentation, coordinating carrier services, and tracking shipments through final delivery.
Coordinate domestic and international (CONUS/OCONUS) shipments, including customs documentation, transportation planning, and Government-required clearances.
Monitor shipping activities to ensure timely delivery while optimizing transportation methods, schedules, and costs.
Support warehouse operations, receiving, storage, order fulfillment, staging, and inventory replenishment activities.
Inspect incoming shipments to verify accuracy, quality, and compliance with purchase orders and shipping documentation.
Maintain inventory levels for frequently used materials, equipment, and supplies to support uninterrupted mission operations.
Ensure all assets entering or leaving secure facilities, including Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs), are properly documented, tracked, and compliant with Government security requirements.
Maintain chain of custody documentation for Government property, evidence, and sensitive equipment in accordance with established procedures.
Coordinate equipment maintenance, warranty tracking, calibration schedules, repairs, and lifecycle replacement planning to maximize operational readiness.
Evaluate equipment condition, reliability, maintainability, and mission suitability to support lifecycle management decisions and testing requirements.
Coordinate with Government property book personnel regarding asset transfers, relocations, inventories, and barcode accountability.
Develop and maintain logistics documentation, standard operating procedures, inventory records, and operational reports.
Execute logistics policies and recommend process improvements that enhance operational efficiency, property accountability, and customer support.
Coordinate transportation account requests and collaborate with Government agencies, vendors, carriers, and internal stakeholders to support mission requirements.
Operate Government and commercial material handling equipment, including forklifts, fleet vehicles, military tactical vehicles, tractors, and other specialized equipment, when authorized and properly certified.
Maintain required certifications applicable to shipping, hazardous materials (if required), material handling equipment, and Government logistics systems.
Support facility operations by coordinating logistics activities related to safety, security, maintenance, and operational readiness.
Perform additional logistics, property management, and supply chain support duties as assigned in support of Government mission objectives.

Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance
Minimum level of experience: 5 years
