Experience: 7-10 yrs

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, administer, monitor, and maintain database environments across production, development, QA, and disaster recovery systems.

Manage NoSQL, relational, and caching database technologies including Cosmos DB, Redis, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.

Perform database upgrades, patching, migrations, and environment refresh activities.

Ensure high availability, database uptime, and optimal performance across systems.

Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning strategies.

Optimize queries, indexing, caching, partitioning, and database configuration.

Conduct capacity planning and recommend scalability improvements.

Implement database security controls, encryption, access management, and auditing.

Manage database roles, permissions, authentication, and authorization.

Ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and compliance with enterprise and healthcare security standards.

Troubleshoot critical database incidents and perform root cause analysis (RCA).

Support production deployments, database releases, and change management activities.

Participate in on-call support for critical production systems.

Preferred Skills

Strong hands-on expertise in: Azure Cosmos DB, Redis.

Database performance tuning and optimization Backup and recovery management

Replication, clustering, failover, and high availability

Database monitoring and troubleshooting

SQL query optimization and indexing

Cloud database administration experience (Azure preferred)

Nice to Have

Experience with  Microsoft SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL

Experience in healthcare, hospital systems, or regulated industries.

Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid environments.

Knowledge of data migration and ETL processes.

Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications.
