A leading North American financial services provider operating across personal, commercial, wealth management, and capital markets sectors. Following recent strategic acquisitions, the top-tier bank has significantly expanded its international footprint. What You’ll Do

Analyze and document end-to-end payment processing workflows, including payment initiation, validation, approval, routing, settlement, reconciliation, and exception management

Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, data mappings, and business rules

Support payment transformation programs, payment hub implementations, and modernization initiatives

Analyze payment events originating from front-office, middle-office, and back-office systems and assess downstream impacts

Investigate payment exceptions, operational breaks, and production issues

Collaborate with Operations, Treasury, Settlement, and Technology teams to resolve issues and deliver enhancements

Support wire payment processing, settlement instruction management, and ISO 20022 initiatives

Facilitate communication between business and technology stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements and solutions

Participate in workshops, requirements sessions, and process improvement initiatives

Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and operational excellence across payment processes

What You Bring

Strong understanding of end-to-end payment processing workflows, including payment initiation, validation, approval, routing, settlement, reconciliation, and exception management

Good knowledge of payment lifecycles across Capital Markets products and trading platforms

Experience analyzing payment events originating from front-office, middle-office, and back-office systems and understanding downstream impacts

Experience with SWIFT MT/MX messaging, ISO 20022 standards, wire payment processing, and settlement instruction management

Strong understanding of settlement operations, cash management, nostro/vostro accounts, and liquidity considerations

Experience eliciting and documenting business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, data mappings, and business rules

Ability to investigate payment exceptions, operational breaks, and production issues while collaborating with Operations, Treasury, Settlement, and Technology teams

Experience supporting payment transformation programs, payment hub implementations, and modernization initiatives

Strong domain knowledge of Capital Markets payment processing and settlement operations

Experience with SWIFT MT/MX messaging and ISO 20022 migration initiatives

Experience with cash management, liquidity management, and nostro/vostro account processing

Understanding of trade settlement, cash movement, and payment lifecycle workflows across multiple asset classes

Experience with enterprise payment platforms and payment modernization initiatives

Knowledge of reconciliation, exception management, and operational controls

Understanding of regulatory, compliance, audit, AML, and sanctions screening requirements related to payments

Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities

Excellent communication and facilitation skills with the ability to bridge business and technology teams

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Ability to investigate and resolve complex operational issues

Strong organizational and documentation skills

Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, highly regulated environments

Commitment to quality and continuous improvement

Nice to have

Experience with payment hub platforms and payment modernization initiatives

Exposure to regulatory, compliance, audit, AML, and sanctions-related controls

Experience supporting ISO 20022 migration programs

Knowledge of multiple asset classes and associated settlement workflows

Previous experience within Capital Markets or Financial Services environments

English level
