Position Overview
The Brand Payments Team Lead plays a key role in managing and supporting essential processes within the Brand Payments function. Serving as the second point of contact for Brand Payments Associates and Senior Brand Associates, this role provides guidance, escalates issues to the Supervisor, and ensures operational efficiency.
This position requires strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. Core responsibilities include training new Brand Payment Associates, reviewing escalations from the Brand Payment Associates and Brands, and supporting a wide range of payment and operational activities. The Brand Payments Team Lead will also collaborate with the Team Lead on special projects, process improvements, and system enhancements—making flexibility and openness to new tools essential.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the second point of contact for Brand Payments Associates, escalating issues to the Supervisor as appropriate.
Complete KPI reporting for Brand Associates weekly and follow-up with any outstanding items.
Answer any escalated questions from cross-functional partners, such as operations, cash applications, accounting operations, or any other internal partners.
Ensure Zendesk requests are being completed per SLAs.
Back-up for any brand payment associate as needed.
Lead calls with brand partners.
Collaborate with the Supervisor on special projects, process enhancements, and system improvements.
Conduct second-level quality reviews of team members' work before escalating to the Team Lead.
Assist with onboarding and training of new team members; contribute to maintaining and updating SOPs.
Stay adaptable and open to learning new tools and systems as business needs evolve.
Requirements
3–4 years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or a related field
Proficiency with financial systems; experience with QuickBooks is a plus
1-2 years of proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within accounting operations, finance, or a related field
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, particularly in payment and reconciliation
Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, pivot tables)
Previous experience in a customer-facing role within finance, accounting, or logistics is highly preferred
Strong leadership skills to support growing team and business
Exceptional attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Strong time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
Enthusiasm and ability to learn new software and adapt to evolving processes

Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $65,000 - $80,000
