ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a sharp, business-minded German Qualified Lawyer to join our in-house legal team. You will take ownership of a lease portfolio across multiple European jurisdictions, acting as a trusted legal partner to our operations, finance, and asset management teams. This is a hands-on role that combines deep legal expertise with a genuine appetite for process improvement and legal tech.

Lease Management & Portfolio Execution

Own the end-to-end post-signing management of lease agreements across your portfolio

Monitor and ensure compliance with all contractual obligations, deadlines, and rights (e.g. rent adjustments, options, guarantees)

Lead the negotiation and drafting of lease-related agreements (e.g. amendments, subleases, side agreements)

Translate contractual provisions into practical operational guidance and ensure proper implementation

Oversee key commercial aspects such as deposits, guarantees, and landlord/tenant obligations

Business Partnering

Act as the primary legal contact for General Managers, Operations, Asset Management, and Finance

Provide pragmatic, business-oriented advice on real estate and lease-related matters

Support day-to-day legal requests (tickets, ad-hoc issues)

Regulatory & Compliance

Ensure regulatory compliance of properties and operations, including:

Permits and licenses

Local regulatory requirements across jurisdictions

Monitor compliance and coordinate with internal teams and external advisors

Disputes & Litigation

Manage disputes and litigation across your portfolio

Instruct and coordinate external counsel and ensure efficient, business-oriented handling

Process Optimization, Legal Tech & AI

Develop and implement guidelines, playbooks, and standardised processes to ensure consistent and scalable handling of legal matters

Contribute to building a centralised legal knowledge base and documentation standards

Drive efficiency and scalability across high-volume legal workflows

Support and implement legal tech and AI solutions, in particular:

Automation of contract and obligation tracking across the portfolio

Streamlining internal workflows and ticket handling

Contributing to the development of a data-driven legal infrastructure, including a centralised lease and asset management layer

ABOUT YOU

Fully qualified German lawyer (Volljurist) with at least the First State Examination (Erstes Staatsexamen); Second State Examination (Zweites Staatsexamen) preferred but not mandatory.

Alternatively, a Wirtschaftsjurist (Business Lawyer) with relevant professional experience.

At least 2 years of relevant professional experience, gained in private practice or in-house

Experience in commercial real estate law, in particular lease agreements (ideally in a hospitality context)

Solid experience working with commercial leases in at least one core jurisdiction (preferably Germany, the UK, or Spain)

Structured, hands-on, and able to manage high-volume workflows in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication skills and a business-oriented mindset

Interest in process improvement, legal tech, and AI

Fluent in English and German are a must and additional European languages are a plus
